  I don't get why people buy these cheapo stick vaccums. They don't usually last long and it is hard, sometimes impossible to get replacement parts.

    Yeah I got caught out with the $100 Trouver vacuum. Battery dead like 90%+ of others who bought. Replacement battery is $100…
    Need a new vacuum to replace it

  Anyone have a recommendation for a cordless stick vac these days? Is the viomi a9 the best I’ll find for the price?

    Depends on your budget
    I wouldn't go for a el cheapo vac, personally. They mostly end up being landfill. After having looked at various models, probably the Viomi A9 would be the minimum performance unit I'd go for at this budget end

  there seems to be a few different brands that all share the same names

  Dyson V7/V8 etc
  Xiaomi
  Dreame
  Viomi

  anyone able to clear up what brands what model?
