    To be fair, nobody in that thread actually said they had used these specific chargers, so how can you conclude they are ewaste?

    Biggest problem in the world today (IMHO) is people are too eager to just follow the masses instead of doing their own research and forming their own opinion.

    With a 4.3 out of 5 average rating, and 70% or purchasers giving these a score or 5/5, I'd have some confidence they are ok, and if not, just send them back for a refund?

      This is aliexpress junk with a custom logo on it, and this post is just an advert for it. You are more than welcome to risk your electronics by doing your own research.

      I personally watched enough bigclive YT videos to be wary of such cheap usb plugs.

        Yep. BigClive is the reason I don't buy a lot of shit, unbranded Chinese dropshitted electronic devices. Some of the things he tests are just massive fires or electrical shock hazards waiting to happen.

        This is very very questionable quality if these can be bought for about $2 each. Out of this $2, there is postage, listing fees, profit and Jeff Bezos Penis Rocket ©®™ fees to be paid. This is literally a $0.50 charger at best.

  I find these get REALLY warm with my Android and iPhone using quick charge… it does quick charge though… so I guess there’s that. Mine is the 1 usb and 1 usb c one though idk if that makes a diff.

    That's completely normal. More power = more heat. GaN chargers for fast charging are more ideal as they produce less heat.

    You should feel my 58V/4A escooter power bricks. You'll never complain about warm chargers after touching those.

    All(10+) my genuine Apple and Samsung chargers I got with my phones/tablets get warm and sometimes even hot to touch. As hot as the single layer paper tea/coffee cups.

    I think ~$3.50 for a SAA certified, and providing it delivers 2A, it's pretty cheap.

    Are you sure? Where does it say that? I don't see any markings to say which port is 2.1A and which is 1A so how would you know which is which?
