  • Why doesnt nintendo have 'buy once' for your account
and then use forever in the future on anything nintendo?
    (Like Xbox and Steam)?

      Because (profanity) you, that's why.

    • Who will complain when there is revenue opportunity.

cos they want u to buy over and over again for each console generation.

    • +1

Because a lot of their consoles have unique inputs that you can’t just transplant to other platforms without a fair bit of effort porting to a new control scheme.
You can’t play a dual screen touch handheld on a TV, for example.

They can make adjustments on individual games to make it work, but it would be like putting an Xbox Kinect game on a Series X and just expecting it to work.

      • Sure. But for a reasonable price when the game design is there and the assets may be too (even if remastering, the art design is still done).

Capcom on 50% sale is ok, the resident evil games are $12-25 ish iirc.

But Nintendo charges full price when they do it. $69 is a joke.
