Hack worked for me to order a 10 a few months ago. Used a prepaid travel card loaded with $460. GoPro repeatedly auto emailed to update my payment method for my subscription, just ignored it.
Tbh. Price match it with jb or officework for an extra 5% off. Don’t bother buying it @GoPro. Or use PayPal to pay for it. Their customer service is such a joke.

Yeah. I pricematched with jb before my trip to thailand (currently in thailand) then i claim gst at airport for another $95 ( bought underwater case + battery on the same receipt)

Yep, did the same and bought it for $503.45. Officeworks staff member tried to verify the exact SKU/model variant, which is not shown on the GoPro site. But ultimately manager said it's fine since it's on the official GoPro site.

I did the hack recently (last week) using a disposable virtual Wise card with exact amount on the card so couldn't be charged the subs. Took a while for the Subscription cancellation to work - 24-48hrs before it would accept my cancellation done from the web. Meanwhile, lots of notification from Wise about attempts to charge for the subscription in the meantime.
TL;DR: if you are going to buy without sub, use a card with exact amount.

My 10 arrived in just a few days when I ordered one a few months ago. I took advantage of the hack too so got it for $460.
Came within 4 days. Annoying thing was they kept rrying to take payment even though it said i was successful in cancelling my subscription

Website claim it will be shipped out same day or next day. I did pay with paypal and canceled my subscription after I got the confirmation email though.

I've read about people having that issue in the past, sometimes due to using a P.O box or such, sometimes payment issues, there's a good chance the order will never be processed, you'll have to contact them and mostly cancel the order then re-order..
Just an update on my order. It is shipped out today (after ~5 days, ordered last Sunday).
They had the HERO10 Black + Accessories Bundle for $599 up until a couple of days ago but they quietly (and annoyingly) increased it to $699.

Attempted the same method but was unable to cancel the subscription in the GoPro settings. Looks like there is a pending card charge but autorenew is off so fingers crossed.

Ordered mine on 24th May, and been getting tracking updates from UPS. And it had arrived this afternoon (27th May). 3 Days International Express … I couldn't be happier.
I've tried price matching with quite a few JB and Officeworks with no luck. Some said that as they offer with 1-year subscription is technically not the same product and others said that the price goes under the threshold that they can actually price match. Anyway, just placed an order for the camera + accessories bundle for $530 with the extra 32gb sd card following the hack. Hopefully, they will honour it :)

Drilling down for those that don't use paypal much
- purchased gopro + accessories = $599.95
- link to paypal - accept charge for $529.96
- click create password for gopro subscription
- cancel gopro subscription
- log onto paypal. go to Settings -> payments -> manage automatic payments
- cancel gopro automatic payment (note amount already paid is $0)
Now coming up as 'PENDING authorisation' on paypal so hopefully goes through okay.

- also, the number of single purchases that were listed as 'automatic payments' and I accordingly cancelled was concerning - ie items purchased from samsung store, umart!, qantas etc. Definately never clicked saying that the company could charge me whenever they wanted.

One day on from the initial order and i've received an email saying that the GoPro has shipped. Looking good so far and no further charges to my PayPal
got the go pro today, very happy with it and nothing further has been charged to my PayPal. Probably worth mentioning that i went a further step and delinked my cards and accounts from the PayPal account.

I followed steps exactly as posted, cancelled sub within 2 minutes after order, but email from GoPro says "Your GoPro subscription has been cancelled as of 06/20/2023"

Shipping was quick though, ordered Monday evening, arrived Thursday midday (with a "Package is delayed in transit. Delivery will be rescheduled" event as well)
Perhaps the order you do the cancelling matters?

- add go pro + accessories to cart - $599.95
- add enduro battery to cart - $31.96
- go to cart and apply unidays promo code ~$15 off
- pay with paypal - $545.06
- go to paypal website, settings icon, payment tab, manage automatic payments, remove gopro
- go to email, go to the 'You've got unlimited cloud' email from gopro, create new password, login, settings icon on the left, subscription tab, cancel subscription. The wheel spun for a good 2 minutes but finally greyed out and said that gopro will update their records soon.
So far so good. Seems like I've only been charged $545 for now. Will report back but looks good. GoPro 11 will be out in a couple of months (sept) if you want to wait but imo this is a pretty decent rrp deal and I doubt there'll be significant changes (e.g. if there's a 1" it'll definitely be a few hundred more for base model). Was going to wait for a dual charger combo deal but I spotted these on amazon. Looks like it would be a convenient battery storage and usb c charging all in one solution.
Edit: bought this triple battery storer/charger from amazon for $17.99. Delivery in august… worth a shot at this price if you don't mind waiting.

I got a "your gopro order has been shipped" email the next day. The order took an extra 2 days to deliver. Package came from Singapore and was sent with UPS. I do live on the west coast though which might have expediated things.

Steep price increase for the accessories bundle to $729.95 which is weird.
