[VIC] Free Ticket to A-League Melbourne City Vs Wellington at AAMI Park, 9th May 7pm @ Ticketek

130
MEMBERTHANKS

This is a different and inferior offer from that previously posted. Only 1 free ticket per order if you want to select your preferred seating area, but the Away Team area becomes available.

Received this email today from the club

"COMPLIMENTARY GUEST PASS

The chance to see your Melbourne City be crowned back-to-back A-League Premiers is simply too good to keep to yourself.

That's why we're giving every 2021/22 member the chance to bring a friend for free on Monday night! As an added benefit, you’ll also have someone to hug if your emotions get the better on you.

To claim your complimentary guest pass, simply visit the Ticketek event page using the link below, enter the codeword MEMBERTHANKS into the password field and click ‘unlock tickets’. Then just follow the prompts to select your guest seat."

Now a couple of things to note here before you ignore this email.

First it appears that one can get $0.70 back from Shopback (I could be wrong but no harm in trying). I have several such credits from free ticketek offers still pending in my shopback account.

Next thing to note. You might be able to get a free ticket even if you are not a member. Just put MEMBERTHANKS in the box and see if it will give you the free ticket.

Finally, and most importantly, when I applied for my free ticket it appears that you can get a free Premium seat even if you are a lowly Blue member like me. I noted that the Premium seats were showing as $0.00 so I selected that and I was able to get a complimentary Premium ticket. So you can easily upgrade if you are a Blue member for no cost.

Just tried again and was able to get a second free premium seat next to my first one!

  • this is a different (and better) offer

Why is a member only offer better than a free to public deal?
Who on earth is going to pay for membership fee?

    • Well actually if you get better offers because you are a member it would make some sense to be a member.
