Excellent. Will stack with my 30x points.

Thanks a lot OP. Was waiting for a deal to stock up. The 3000 points extra make it special.
Received notification about cashback within 5 mins.
3000 additional points notification displayed once I made the payment. Overall win win.

    • 3000 Flybuys points “displayed”? How?

      • +1

Once I made the payment there was this message.
Congratulations you've collected 3129 flybuys points.

        • Is it just for any spirits or a selected few?
Edit - can see comment below just for selected items.

    • +4

My 3000 additional points notification WASN'T displayed, might have to contact flybuys. (in 4 weeks time as usual)

      • +2

The 3000 points are valid only for selected spirits and wines so make sure you have purchased from that selection.

        • Chivas Regal 1L 100% on list

        • +2

Yep first time purchasing with First Liquor, and it didn't show the 3000 points on my transaction confirmation. I bought the Ballantines 12YO for $51 (along with buffalo trace) so it should still qualify right?

So how would one follow up with flybuys in 4months….will they have record of the offer?

          • +1

@PleasureMachine: They're a pain to contact. I tend to DM them via twitter. I provide the name and date of the promo, and keep either a screenshot from the website showing the promotion, or a copy of their promotion email, as proof of the offer, but they haven't asked for proof yet in my experience.

          • @PleasureMachine: same here. I got the Absolut 1l and it was in the list of items and over $50, but no 3000 points bonus on the banner when i paid

        • Face Palm.. Had ginger beer, stout and chucked a bottle of Jammos in the cart for the 3000. Over $50 ..all good…73 points!!

Ah,..over $50 of selected products. The Jamo is only $49…face palm again.

      • +1

nor was mine, normally it does appear… ho hum.

      • Me either with Jason’s Irish whiskey. Nuisance having to chase FBs now.

  • Will it be valid if I place Click and Collect order?

  • Can we do multiple transactions to reach $30 cap

    • +1

It’s an overall cap per member account, so I believe yes. T&C’s doesn’t state you can’t, and from previous experiences you can

      • +2

That’s correct. $30 is the maximum cashback you can earn during the promo. As an example, if your first order earns you $27 cashback, your next order will only earn you $3 cashback, even if you spend $100. Please remember to generate a new click for each new order.

During the 16 hour promo, cashback for First Choice Liquor is capped at $30 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made. Valid 8am to 11:59pm AEST 06/05/2022.

Received email within minutes of the post 'TA's deals of the week' order placed & tracked straight away thanks!

  • +1

Thanks OP! Jumped on this one despite having too much beer already. Blonde keeps well in the cupboard - might get drunk by the time the cashback is actually available ;-)

    • +9

Coles Liquor Group (FCL, LL, VC) all now have a maximum 35-day approval timeframe on cashback. Big improvement on previous wait time :)

      • +1

        Excellent work :-) And noted!

  • Is there a link from First choice liquor which products are eligible for 3000 FB points….

  • +1

Famous Grouse on special for $40. 25% cashback takes it down around $30.

  • +4

I bought the Ballantines 1 Litre bottle and the congrats message after payment processed only mentioned the standard 55 FB points. If I'm not mistaken, normally the message tells me if I've qualified for any bonus points. I'm logged into my FCL account which has already been linked to my FB account.

    • +3

Same. I'm not too worried about it, just chase it up in 4 weeks if they haven't credited the points.

    • +1

Ah comforting to know someone else is faced with such predicament.

As @Bytelover notes, is it just a follow up in a few weeks?

    • +1

Same my 3000 bonus points did not show up.

    • +1

+1 no notification on bonus points…

  • These deals are bad for my liver and brain cells 😆

  • +2

Perfect for the Bundy free four pack. $23, less $22 rebate, so the 25% is them paying you to drink.

    • +2

Cheers on the reminder, placed second order as liquorland in my area has none available.

    • +1

      Good idea :)

    • can you elaborate pls….product link…does it stack with FB points?

    • +1

      Thank you, great idea.

    • link or further info pls

  • Might be a private convo for @TightArse, but my pending cashreward transaction shows an amount for $100 when I spent $110 in the one order with First Liquor? So I'm getting stiffed $too-fiddy

I've only just started using Cash Rewards so new to this if it's an obvious issue.

    • +1

This store reports sales ex GST. Cashback is calculated on reported value.

Special terms in the OP and Cashrewards website

      $110-10% = $99

Feel free to reach out to @tightarse if there's any problems or queries you may have

      • +1

I just came back to note, I think it's because of the GST. Thank you for confirmation.

On the CR dashboard the enquiry button mentions the below. So

        Please note:
Transactions typically track excluding GST, shipping and delivery.
Some stores offer multiple cashback rates

      • @I Smell Pennies: Close 😉

        The correct calculation is:

        $110÷1.10 = $100

        • +1

Thank you for the correction HAHA :)

    • @PleasureMachine: See the bottom of my comment here for a quick explanation.

  • +1

    More beer for me!

  • +1

waited a month for this, ty op

  • +1

Anyone else having trouble with the click and collect? It keeps saying error loading stores. It's doing my head in

    • No I had no issues.

    • +1

yeh same issue here, cant proceed with checkout due to click and collect issue.

  • +1

Ordered Chivas Regal 12YO Scotch Whisky 1 Litre.

"Congratulations, you've collected 70 Flybuys points."

  • Is this only with ANZ/Max? Just wondering because the link to Cash Rewards just has 25% cashback with Max written there, but I'm not seeing it anywhere else in the terms and conditions.

    • +2

Open to anyone, I don't believe deals are ever exclusive to CR Max only. Max gets some boosted rates sometimes above a normal upsized rate (2-5%), but not exclusive only to max.

If you're a Max member, it'll show that normally (with Max), but if you view the page logged out, you'll see it's 25% for anyone.

  • Assume its just a one off 3000 pts? Ie cant get 6000 by buying 2 promo bottles?

    • +1

      @tunzafun001: Correct:

This offer is limited to one transaction per flybuys account.

  • thanks OP, just bought Hibiki Harmony Japanese Whisky on special down from $200 to $180. Add cashback and total $150. No FB bonus points but a good price nonetheless.

  • Beer stocks have been running low and I've been hanging out for another one of these - pairs perfectly with 2 for $100 on cartons of Stockade Flight Path!

  • Thanks OP bought a Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition 700mL.

  • 8am! God damn it, just checked my order from this morning…7:36am

  • so what's the magic $$$ spend to spend as less as possible and reap the rewards as much as possible?

  • How do you know which products will give the 2000/3000 flybuys?

  • Robincts thanks
So if I order through First Choice I will get the 25% and 3000 points thinking of Ballentine 12 yr old Whiskey Cheers

  • Robincts thanks
So if I order through First Choice I will get the 25% and 3000 points thinking of Ballentine 12 yr old Whiskey. Believe so unless their is a better bargain

    • @JakDac: Correct.

As shown in the table you would essentially be paying $24.41.

Anyone fancying a full bodied red normally hard to get in AU might want to try the Wente Zinfandel. Zin’s are made in California (it’s like the Shiraz of the US west coast), except that it is quite heavy, luscious & fruity.
    Normally $21 at Vintage Cellars.
FCL have it at $17.10 in a 6-pack, it comes down to $13.21/bottle if you buy it on this offer.
For something different & high quality, that’s a bargain

    • Wanted to try this one out

  • Great Northern Super Crisp Lager Block Can 375mL Pack (30) - $55
    Tooheys New Block Can 375mL Pack (30) x2 - $98
    $30 cashback

$123 for quality beer - delivered to the front door.

    Thank you OP!

    • Great Northern Super Crisp Lager Block Can 375mL Pack (30)
Tooheys New Block Can 375mL Pack (30)
      Maybe some would call those a quality beer , I wouldn't .

      • +1

Certainly not top shelf, but right down my alley :)

        • +1

          Cheers ):

  • $10 credit for $50 spend via Westpac card before 22 May 2022.

  • Wanted to get torbreck woodcutters Shiraz but no stock for pick up. By the time I found other wine, forgot 1st choice liquor quite a bit of detail fill to check out. Missed out completely :(

Wallet happier but less wine now

  • Total purchase of $110, but then got an email telling me my $16.xx purchase ($4.xx cashback) was being tracked.

Checked my cash rewards account and it shows up as $110 purchase with correct cashback.

    Should I be contacting CR?

    • @Kkuba: No

There's a known issue where some transactions involving multiple SKUs will initially only track for one of them. These should auto-adjust to the correct amounts after a few hours. (See TA's comment. )

  • Deal went through on cashrewards 1 litre Absolut Vodka was supposed to get 3000 FB points not there. On order FB points # put in. This was advertised on Cashrewards logo on the day 3000 FB points. Emailed Cashrewards they said talk to shop if they advertised it THEY should sort it out.

    • @JakDac: Cashrewards are right about one thing - flybuys points have nothing to do with them. However, they are wrong if they told you to talk to First Choice Liquor. You need to talk to flybuys Customer Support. But you need to wait 4 weeks first. Read the bonus flybuys points deal for the full details.

Cashrewards displays bonus flybuys points offers on their site solely as a courtesy to remind you that the offers exist. (They are essentially just copying the offers from the First Choice Liquor website.)

  • Does anyone know after doing click and collect, we can still do return to first choice….in case FB point does not get through….

    • nope. returns not accepted.

  • -1
