    900mAh if anyone looking…

    • Are these like older version or something?

Wow…. Shipping Square has finally posted an Eneloop Pro deal that's an actual deal and not an OzAdvertisement. Usually they're posting this for $19.98 delivered. I might just leave the neg vote alone today. Not that that'll stop nocure from comment negging me for calling out Shipping Square's BS 😂

Hah yep! It's $19.90 delivered for me. So 8 cents cheaper than their usual OzAdvertising. :p

      • haha yeah, I figured I'd give them a pass but also link to one of my older comments so others don't see this as such a great deal they need to get FOMO. I mean, it's really not a deal, but nocure should know by now that anytime I see their Eneloop posts, I'll come down hard on them.

  • Does anyone recommend a good battery charger to go along with this? I have a 10yr old Sony charge that's still working but open to upgrade :)

    • I was going to suggest this deal from @nocure: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/697881
but I see that it is now expired.

There was comment posted by an engineer about it

I wouldn't use the charger in this deal, the Lii-402, for charging AA NiMh batteries. It's limited to 500mA charging current when charging four AA batteries, so 1900mAh or 2450mAh batteries will take 4-5 hours to charge, in the "too slow" basket. And for AAA batteries, it's <2 hours, so getting towards the "too fast" basket.

My rule of thumb: 750mA-1000mA for charging AA batteries, and 300mA-400mA for charging AAA batteries (except for the Nitecore D4). This will give a 2-3 hour charge time, the -dV/dT effect will be easy to detect, and your batteries will get warm but not hot.

        • That is one stunning answer from Russ. Thank you for pointing out this gem.

I guess the Nitecore should be an okay charger.

        • (except for the Nitecore D4)

Why's that? I have a D4 and charge both AA and AAA in the slow charge mode. Should I not bother doing that?

    • I have a Zanflare Smart Battery Charger from Aliexpress many years ago, works great.

  • For those looking for AA, Amazon's prices are pretty good currently. Almost as cheap as hamza's deal, just ~$2 more.
