During the 16 hour promo, cashback for BWS is capped at $30 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made. Valid 8am to 11:59pm AEST 12/05/2022. Penfolds is excluded from cashback. Online only offer.

    I joined BWS and received a Unique Discount Code, but when I apply it to my $55 order, it applies the coupon as -$0.00 and the amount to be charged is still $55 .. Anyone have same experience?

    • Me. Exactly the same.
      I was too afraid to click confirm. This was for the 12 YO Arbelor for $92.

      But even at $92, it works out to be $62, which is a dam good price, so happy with it.

    I joined bws at 4:30, bought my whisky at 5:30 (with new customer code+have never shopped there before), tracked ten minutes later, c&c order ready at 6:30 (apparently they did an extra security check too). 👍

  • Checked out with 2 items and used new user code. Tracked fine, but I got a call about 30min later from store saying one item was out of stock. I haven't picked it up yet. What happens if I collect the one item and I'm refunded for the other that was out of stock? Will cashback still apply and be re-calculated based on the one item?

  • How long does BWS typically hold your click and collect order before cancelling? Ordered before 9am in the morning with the new user code and still no cashback, and I'm a bit hesitant to pick up if cashback isn't assured given the price difference.

    • My first click and collect with them, my plans changed, rang and they said they didn't have a return to shelf time like liquorland, I said I couldn't get there for 5 days and they said that's fine it'll still be here and that was without telling them my name/order no.

    • No confirmation here either, 9 hours already (Did everything correct, what a complete waste of time!).
      Doubt it'll be through so would really like to know how bws orders are cancelled?

      Just a thought, if there's more than 2 orders how will you know which order tracked so that you don't cancel that one?
      Just looked at my cashback and it doesn't show the order no.

    I just canceled the order and won’t bother any of these cashback driven purchase anymore. Not worth it.

        no PhD required just try to keep the transaction process SIMPLE next time. Do not use discount codes (EVER), save it for another day. Use a browser like firefox and bob's your uncle.

              Also we are all here to save money, extra $10 off or 33% discount you aren't going to pass up.

      • I had my concerns going for this cashback and the BWS $10 discount because of Cashrewards' warning about using coupons. Also you can't quickly ask Cashrewards questions as they say they get back to you within 3 days. Anyway I got it to work and got the OK Cashrewards email (saying I'll get in within 95 days).

        I don't know if it will help anyone but what I did was carefully manage my browser cookies (firefox) by clearing it every now and then and ensuring it was clear before logging into Cashrewards. So I signed up to BWS first then cleared the cookies then I logged into Cashrewards and clicked through to BWS from the link in Cashrewards. When in BWS I logged in and put my stuff onto the cart and then went through the checkout process and put in my BWS $10 off code from the BWS email and then paid and finalised. I got the Cashrewards email within 5 - 10 mins.

        The uncertainty about whether the BWS $10 off code would ruin the cashback was answered when I read the T&Cs of the $10 off in the Cashrewards site. That entry clearly said that you can use the code from the BWS email. If that hadn't been explained I wouldn't have used the code.

    BWS cancelled my order. No phone call, no communication. They said in an email they cancelled because I called them, which I didn't. I agree, that BWS and cashrewards union is a fail! Cashrewards needs to get its sh#t together before organising cashback deals. Pure waste of time! Hit and miss deals are not the way to go!

    • Mine went through smoothly with no issue (40% CR).. Did you claim the new customer $10 offer?

      • I did use the new customer $10 offer and I am a genuine new customer. After a long phone call to BWS, they told me that the email address on my BWS account does not match the email address my credit company has for me. This is the reason they said my order was cancelled. I am not sure how they contacted my credit card company at 8pm and how my credit company can disclose my personal email address to them. Hmmmm. Something is off.

        • That is what can happen, when others abuse an offer and create new accounts/email, and lead to genuine new customers to suffer. So its not really fair to drag CR into this!

          • @huntabargain: The BWS customer service rep said they were overwhelmed from the number of orders through this 40% deal, which they were not told to expect. Consequently there may have been a fault in the system which cancelled orders or it was manual based on the unmanageable quantity, in which a generic email was sent out stating the customer cancelled it. This is why cashrewards is also at fault here. The partnership clearly failed. I am not the only one. Others in this post have poisted similar issues.

            • @eeeee: So since CR negotiated such amazing offer of 40% back and created big demand then it is their fault?
              So next time, CR should just offer 10% and that would solve the issue? (hope not).
              I am only aware that some people who claimed the extra $10 had issue but not the 40%, which could be attributed to them.
              I thought the OP provided update with options to what to do if the sale did not track.

              • @huntabargain: its not about not tracking. It's about BWS cancelling the order completely and not letting me know until the offer was over.

        • Most unlikely. The address my CC has for me is different than the address on my BWS account but my order is OK. And what if people use the Coles Mastercard GC?

  • In case anyone is still responding to this deal can anyone give me some idea as to how deals like this are a good business strategy. How can a 40% discount on your product be viable. I don't mind it and combined it with the extra discount for first purchase and it ended up less than half price. I'm not trying to discourage businesses from giving out these bargains but why do they?

      Alot of these 40% cashbacks will be rejected and not paid out on anyway

    • I'm guessing they end up pocketing the cashback that isn't paid out.

      2* Database of new customers for future reference to business.
      3* Exposure to large amount of people (similar to advertising).
      4* Some buy and don't claim/track.
      5* Might be cost sharing with CR (so mutual benefits).
      6* Encourage more people to join CR.
      This is similar to Ebay discount codes of 20%, 15%, 10%

  • I and my partner bought $50+ each at bws via cashrewards for this cashback.
    normally we get an email that cashback is tracked and it shows on Rewards but somehow we got nothing.

    it's been few days but still nothing appears at Rewards nor we got an email for tracking. we picked up on the same day and nothing was cancelled and both showing on click history but just worried why we not getting any emails after this long….

    has anyone got an email for tracking and cashback shows up on Rewards???

    I used cashrewards again today for chemistwarehouse and i straight away got the email for tracking and it shows up on Rewards….

    dont' wanna go through painful follow ups…….. make a cliam button is only showing after 7 days so need to wait for another few days…. at least it shows on click history though…

    just read comments of all having the same issue… will make a claim after 7 days.

  • I don’t think I will bother with these cashback sites again had issues with a purchase through shopback and now this order hasn’t tracked even though it shows up in my click history.

  • Mine was PERFECTLY fine. Activated offer from CB, ordered, paid, got notified from CB, and approved within 60 seconds.

    I felt like I was in the Soup Nazi scene from Seinfeld.

    After reading comments and pondering to use the $10 off code, I decided not to go there and play it safe. Closed all browser tabs. Had my bws account already logged into. Got in, ordered quickly, paid quickly, nodded and got out. Tracked fine.

    • Yup. I do this too. I clear out anything in the cart, shut any tab open for the retailer, then start from cash rewards and work forward. If something looks hinky I start from scratch again. You need to make sure it is clean or it may not work.

  • Existing customer. No code used. No tracking in first 24 hours (don't normally have a problem and get fast tracking updates).

    However finally tracked :)

  • Mine still hasn't tracked, ordered and picked up Thursday morning. It is in my click history but nothing else. Normally no issues with Cashrewards.

    • I'm guessing you used the $10 code? It seems to be the common sticking point, even though it very clearly states that the discount code is accepted by CR. Not happy!

              @bozbargain: I did use a code and it's showing up on tracking fine - so I'm hopeful. I made sure I included a new email address for the account and a slight misspelling of the name so it wouldn't get a direct hit on any database matching.

              Not sure if they're checking emails, credit cards, addresses or names for matches - will be interesting to hear in due course, if we ever do…

  • Hi op, it's been 4 full days since I made my purchase but I still can't seem to claim missing cashback in cash rewards?

    I used cashrewards app still didn't track..

    What is the option here???

  • Hi TA, I noticed that the 'Send a Claim' option has been removed from all my Click History. Is this a glitch?

    If it has been over 7 days since you made an online purchase and your transaction has not appeared in My Rewards, please navigate to your Click history and press Send a Claim next to the corresponding click for your missing transaction and follow the prompts.

    • Never mind, apparently that option only appears for clicks >7 days but no older than 45 days.
