    Why not 3060 or 6600?

    • -8

      The obvious answer is price.

      • https://www.ple.com.au/Products/648993/MSI-Radeon-RX-6600-ME… - $449 for a 6600, was $429 just recently.

6600XT is faster and only $500.

          • +6

@Clear: It's not a deal, that's why I haven't. The deal you linked to as "popular" is an old one, things have changed since the start of April.

            • -8

@freefall101: I will find one myself and share then.

              • @Clear: That's kind of how this site works, you find a good deal and post it. This isn't a good deal, I'm surprised you're so defensive of it.

                • -6

@freefall101: Yeah I'm trying to encourage people to find better deals if they think there is one. Of all the people I'm one of the last you need to explain how deals work around here given I'm a top poster lol.

                  • @Clear: No need to get all defensive. The RTX 2060 just doesn’t make sense at this price. The RX 6600 is more powerful and same price or cheaper. Even the 6600 around this price isn’t particularly great but I guess someone could post it if they wanted to

                    • -4

@FireRunner: Oh I'm not mad I appreciate the entertainment while I'm in isolation it's good fun. I just post deals based off what's cheap, been popular recently and so forth. Hence why I now have a $419 RX 6600 deal online 😉

The only people who are mad are the neggers. The fact that my comment triggers someone enough that they have to press neg says it all.

6600 can be had on Amazon for $429, I think that’s a better buy if all you care is about is gaming.

        • -8

If you find a deal you should post it.

          • +3

            @Clear: Tough crowd tonight OP.

            • @chyawala: Posters work hard to find deals for the community and the moment you suggest someone else should help find a deal for the community they turn on you. Must be the weather.

          • @Clear: I see you are right. Don’t understand why ppl neg ur comment.

            • -4

@ozizoy: Some people are easily triggered. The amount of negs is showing how sensitive and mad people are. Perhaps they're all those Pro-Putin OzBargainers from the start of the invasion? Would explain why they're so upset.

I probably should stop commenting because they'll all hit their daily neg limit and they won't like that. But hey I've been doing this for every deal I get negged for. They all learn eventually.

I think the MSI 3060 would be a better option for $569

      • -1

How so? This is only 15% slower than 3060 and over 20% cheaper. RX6600 also doesn't have hardware raytracing/upscaling/nvenc/16xpcie/192 bit memory

It's priced proportionally to 3060 and is far better than 3050 value wise. A lot of people on here have a warped sense of a good/bad deal. Weird to see overpriced gpu's get upvoted while this receives neg comments.

    No deal

Just a heads up that AMD is bringing back their "Raise the Game" promos where you get a bundle of PC games with purchases of selected GPU's. It apparently also includes the very low-end 6400's. They usually aren't the cream of the crop, but free is better than nothing.

    https://www.anandtech.com/show/17386/amd-prepares-new-raise-…

    • Is that AMD Rewards link old? I hope so because there's no AU.

    • Is there any current promo campaigns for Nvidia GPU's?

    • Australia is not on the list?

  • 6600xt is much better for $500

  • Omg so good cheers OP

  • +5

    No. Last gen card, overpriced.

  • +3

this was the price 3-4 years ago lol!

    crazy times!

    • Could get the super version then for this price too.

      • Yes recommend getting the super version.
Got a new new MSI 2060s from a mate in 2020 $490 still going strong

    • About $470 in today's money with inflation 😂

  • So what's a better price for a GeForce then?

  • +1

    lol ventus eagle

  • +5

    let's be clear, Clear

why would anyone in their sound mind, purchase a last gen (soon to be 2 gen old) card, when there are current gen cards with better performance for few bucks more? updated silicon process, updated architecture and RT/DLSS cores etc.

2060 is not a bad card, but clearly it's getting long in the tooth, and if we just talk resell value alone, you're better off investing into 3060, and you'll thank yourself next time you upgrade

    • +4

100%. There is no need to take it personally either, these comments are a good reason why ozb is so great. Hopefully this allows somebody to enter the world of PC gaming with a better bang for buck.

    • I feel like when the RTX 40 series gets released, the RTX 20s will become obsolete and the same scenario will happen with RTX 30s and 40s. It'll probably be an endless cycle

      • I thought the same thing, and yet I still see 1660s kicking around as deals.
Actually, they’re the same generation as the 2060 aren’t they… confusing that

    • I saw that it was discounted on Amazon and I shared it. There was no more thought to that at all.

There's no need to explain it I know already.

      • yes, we saw you post it, and we're just sharing our thoughts on it. there's no more thought to that at all

        • Seemed the explanation you made was directed at me when it's unnecessary.

  • +3

Sorry, this should be the price for a 3060, not the last gen 2060.

    • I wholeheartedly agree.

…however this isn't reality today. The 3060 costs more.

We need an "ehhh" vote. For when you can't find something cheaper, but you just don't like the deal =P

    • +1

It's actually priced better than the 3060 dollar per frame (also has DLSS/RT). But a lot of noob unhappy it's turing silica and not ampere silica. But they'll upvote a $800 6700xt

  • Nope! Cant find a single good reason to justify this at this price when RTX 3060 prices are falling.

  • +1

    This is simply daylight rubbery

  • +2

Daylight robbery as the other commenter says

  • 👍 miner?

  • +1

Can get this card for $413.10 + shipping at the moment on shopping express after the 10% discount

  • trashy buy

    $250 at best

    • Link

Not saying it's a good or bad deal but a while ago couldn't get anything for reasonably money.

Anyway I'd recommend the 2060 Super at least.

      • -1

Sorry I meant to say I would only pay 250 new or secondhand for this GPU

        • Maybe second hand if lucky ha

  • Funnily the 2070 was only a bit more expensive than this deal back in 2020
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/582386

As for this deal, it's a 3 year old graphics card and from a quick search online it's selling for a similar price at many various retailers.

Better deal is getting it from shopping express. It's up for $459 and $12.5 for metro delivery.
    https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/msi-geforce-rtx-2060-…

It automatically adds the below discounts when you enter in shipping postcode in the cart:

    STRW10MAY STRW10MAY Remove Coupon STRW10MAY -$45.90
    STRW10FS STRW10FS Remove Coupon STRW10FS -$12.50

With a final total of $413.10 delivered.

    • Half tempted to post it at $413.10 because it's so much cheaper and it'll still trigger people and that'll be fun.
