Managed to get the 55" C1 from Harvey Norman for $1950.00 if anyone wants to try their shot.

Took a bit of work though as they weren't willing to beat Appliance Central's $2035.00 but the sales rep called me today with the offer which I was pleased to accept!

    • I got about this price around a month ago. They wouldn't do it in store, but i was able to use vouchers online to get the price and pick up for free.

    • Can you share your reciept?

Should I get c1 or wait for c2 to go on sale as won’t need tv till end of this year

    • +5

I reckon wait for the c3

    • In a year you will want the c3 🤣 and wait another year and so on…?!

      • +1

Have the cash now as I’m building and won’t have spare cash later that’s my reasoning

        • +1

          Buy now vs buy never?

    • +3

There's always TV deals so just buy the TV closer to the time that you need it imo

      • Thanks

I reckon D 12 is best to wait for

If your primary use is gaming I'd go the C1. C2 can't do 120Hz BFI and incurs a significant input lag penalty if you set the TV to 4:3 aspect ratio. C1 a bit better overall in terms of input lag too. If you mostly watch movies and TV then the C2 is better because it can get brighter in HDR and SDR content.

      • Would C1 make a better PC monitor in your opinion?

        • +2

Yes because you can turn on BFI in 120Hz mode and get an extremely clear picture quality in gaming. Also if you rather just turn on VRR and leave BFI off then the C1 has half the input lag of the C2 which is extremely important for PC gaming. The ABL is a little bit less aggressive in the C2 which can be helpful in general usage but the difference is fairly negligible.

i also found this, but for Brisbane only https://www.todds.com.au/collections/lg/products/lg-oled48c1…

    • Oh man, I wish my kids were older!

    • Jb… Bastards

    • The C1's are all gone, but there are still a few 48A1's available at a cheaper price ($1590). again, just for the Brisbane people

  • This better than Alienware?

      Incredibly different usecase

  • My LG B7 purchased on Boxing Day 2017 died today ; _ ;

    • +4

Call up LG and tell them you want it replaced or refunded refer to ACL and expected life of a product I know LG replaced a B7 panel with really bad burn in a month ago free of charge to a fellow ozbargainer

    • +1

That sucks. I'm not sure if it just my experience but LG TV don't seem to last.

    • +1

LG arranged the replacement of my B7 display panel (not the electronics part/stand) free of charge and on site at my place, back in December 2021 due to burn in. Call LG and get your tv sorted

      • Thanks mates, I started getting a green verticle line on the tv, then it turned into two and now it shuts off after 15 seconds

        • Good luck. And for anyone playing at home, don’t wait until a problem gets worse. The moment it appears, contact the manufacturer.

          • @Morien: The lines happened like 2 weeks ago. How you going to play at home me? This was a downstairs tv with shockingly low hours on it.

            • +3

@TenderDracula: Sorry, my meaning was lost in transmission. Not giving you hassle, I’m sure you didn’t muck around. Genuinely, good luck. Hope you get it sorted.

For other people who may be reading with a similar issue though, don’t wait.

On a side note, wish Retravision was still in Victoria. I hate how our only completion in Victoria is Hardly Norman (Crap) and The Bad Guys (Even more crap than HN). Yeah i know there JB. However, their whitegood range is significantly smaller in my neck of the woods and don't stock stuff like fridges and washing machine in store.

      Thanks for letting us know

We have recently started warehousing stock in Victoria - Such as the 65" and 55" C1's which is how we are able to offer free delivery to Metro Melbourne. While we are increasing our stock holding some delivery fees may still appear from WA which are astronomical for whitegoods however we are constantly working on improving our service offering for the East Coast! - Malcolm

      • Hi Malcolm, Always happy to have another option down the eastern seaboard.
        Jeez these prices are tempting.

Been looking the last two years, with the annual changeover prices for Oleds.
My current pana 65" fald still working. But oh so tempting to go hunting for a 77" oled.

      • Thanks Malcolm! I bought a DJI drone off of the Retravision site last year and was very impressed with the quick delivery (considering it was from perth) and the customer service team. I

  • Waiting for a deal on a 77 I hope i haven't left it too late lol

    • If you didn't get one black friday specials I'll Doubt you will get one now if there's any left.

  • Thanks legend copped one $1705 with RAC very tidy

    • Why not 55” when you factor in the $200 gift card isn’t that much more?

      • I wanted the 48" to use as my new WFH monitor

  • jeez the 48" is sold out already, couldn't even try ask HN or JB to price match

I managed to snag a 65inch for $2700 from Harvey Norman Auburn. As for the debate about the C1 Vs C2 there are some things to note. 2.1 HDMI is capped at 40Gbps on the C1, C2 is 48Gbps. While HDR and SDR on the C2 is better/brighter, for normal everyday use I don't think most people will notice the difference. You have to also consider the extra cost of the C2, the extra money could be used for something like a sound bar over all strengthening your set up. I choose the C1 deciding to use the extra I had left over the C2 to purchase a decent soundbar.

  • Any c1 65" stock in Perth?

  • I have C1 and the picture quality for movies and TV is excellent. However it's very average for sports. When watching soccer on Optus Sport, the moving ball is very blurry.
