    From memory when I heavily researched them before buying awhile ago, there is a small difference in hardware but no perceptible difference according to forums.

  How do any analogue headphones somehow create a greater resolution than the released compressed format? Don't they just play whatever you play on them?

  Not saying they aren't good phones, but it doesn't pay to baffle the public with bullshit.

    What they mean is that high resolution audio is better than CD quality, and Phillips have paid some company money to get the Hi-Res Audio logo stamped on these headphones to show these headphones can play back that audio to some acceptable standard.

    They're trying to explain why high res audio is better then claiming these headphones are made for that. And they did it extremely poorly.
