Open to new and existing IHG members. I just tried it myself using Hilton Honors as the program and it didn't ask for anything about my Hilton membership at all, just my IHG number and email. Immediately received an email confirming registration for status match.

    Does this mean that we must make a booking and stay at a hotel within 120 days or can we make a booking within 120 days for a future stay? Would that be eligible?

  • Work books my hotels through Corporate Traveller but I use my (work) credit card to pay the bill at each hotel so I decided to take a punt on this deal anyway. I have just completed my 5th night with IHG after signing up and I have at least received platinum room upgrades at the two hotels I've stayed in. Pretty much just being upgraded to a room on the side of the hotel that has a "view" of the city/river.

    My Platinum status has been showing as valid until 31 December 2022 but I just realised that 120 days from my status challenge sign-up date of 10 June 2022 is 8 October 2022 so I'm not sure what's happened there? What valid to date do other people have?

    My 5th night has only posted on my account in the last 12 hours so I will update if my valid to date is extended again in the the next couple of days as it might take some time to process the challenge completion on their end. Otherwise I will follow up with live chat support and see what they say/if they make any mention of my bookings being done by Corporate Traveller as an "on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites…"

        I got in touch with support today as I still hadn't seen any updates to my account.

        Firstly, it seems that nights booked via Corporate Traveller are valid for this promo. It might be different if your company has an account and you don't actually pay the bill yourself at each hotel but in my case where the booking is made by Corporate Traveller and I pay with the work card at each hotel it counts as a valid stay.

        What I had considered but hoped to sneak under the radar was that just before I even knew about this promo or even had an IHG account I had stayed a few nights in an IHG property and so when I created my account and registered this offer I contacted support to see if I could have these nights retroactively applied. Support was able to apply the nights and I gained the points/night stayed count for them but the IHG rep I chatted with today pointed out that because those nights weren't after the activation of the offer I technically haven't actually stayed for 5 night yet.

        I figured this might have been flagged in their system but it was worth a try.
        The rep also mentioned that I have until the first week of October to complete the 5 nights for the challenge so I'm guessing that they have applied the Platinum status until 31 December 2022 but are only counting until October to complete the eligible nights. I should still clear Platinum extension but I don't know if I'll get to Diamond now.

    Heads up. Already had diamond elite, which was set to expire this year, used this promo and it got extended for end of 2023.

    • Have you already done the qualifying 15 nights or did it just extend you to 2023 by signing up to the promo?
