  • I wish I saw this before I bought a 8GB for $59

2 of these work fine dual channel in my Aorus 17g

    • Can you confirm whether it’s 2Rx8 or 1Rx16?

      • +1

        2Rx8/1Rx8 as per crucial website.

I've updated the description with this info.

  • Can anyone confirm whether 2 sticks of this would work in an Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5?

    • +2

I had a look at the compatible RAM on dell website as well as crucial for that laptop.

      Yep it will work.

  • This one stick or a pair to make 16gb?

    • Deal is for 1 x 16gb stick.

The comment regarding 1Rx8 and 2Rx8 is on the 'rank' of the RAM.

      • Which rank is better?

        • +1

From the research I've done, there isn't much difference with 1R or 2R.

          x8 is faster than x16.

My Legion 5 Pro came with 2x8gb sticks, both were the slower x16 ones.

Plan is to upgrade to 2x16gb with x8.

        • Either is fine, what you want to stay away from is 1Rx16.

        • 2Rx8 is what you want, if you're looking for a 32gb kit that guarantees that, check out this kit I upgraded my 2021 legion 5 pro using this.

  • Hi, just wondering can these sodimm DDR4 be used on any lenovo laptops? eg been seeing some good sales on lenovo,

    • +2

Yes you can use these on laptop that have ddr4 sodimm slot. Some laptops have soldered RAM so might not be upgradable.

    • I was just about to as the same question. I have an E490.

Also, I need 32GB. Can I just get 2x16 or should I really purchase them as a pair?

      Thanks
