I'm a recent first home buyer who has never really dabbled in renos, but has some level of baseline confidence with tools. Our bathroom needs fixing up and I'm keen to have a crack, but a little daunted by the unknown when dealing with wet areas. Would tiling, and I guess basic plumbing to install a new shower be well within a noobs abilities? Wanting to rip out the old bathtub and install essentially this shower.

    • We will provide full installation instruction and all fixings.

Be careful with any waterproofing, you get that wrong and you only know a few years later.

      • Yeah this is exactly my concern. The previous owners intended to do the same so I already have a pile of brand new decent tiles waiting in the backyard, but maybe leaning more towards this one being left to the professionals.

  • Thats one expensive glass

    • We use 10 mm 100% Grade tempered glass, with certification of AS/NZS 2208:1996

  • Hi I'm new to reno and I'm planning to replace my shower screen but have some trouble choosing the correct size.

Let's say, I have a shower base size 850x850mm what size of shower screen should I be looking at? Thanks

  • Anyone has this type of frameless screen installed ? What do you think of it ? I worry it might have too much water splash outside and I will need to mop the floor after every shower.

    • Yes I have walk in showers as part of our home reno. A 900 and a 1000 in separate bathrooms. The family thinks it is great not having to deal with cleaning around a shower screen door. It makes entry and exit easier, we don't have the floor recessed so no trip hazard. Without the door it gives the bathroom a sense of more space.

Not much water escapes regardless of who uses it, it's not a mopping situation in our case. Our bathmat is positioned just past the reach of any water, less than a foot away from the shower exit so comfortably close enough to step on it easily.

Consider that water will spray/splash outside, how much of it will depend on the size of your shower, how each person uses the shower, the type of shower head and spray pattern used, how long the shower is in use.

      • Thank you for your feedback as we are pondering if we should use this in our bathroom reno as almost every guy we called for a quote suggest using this but I wasn't sure.

  • We have a shower 1m wide by 1.5m long. Entry is via the side. The glass panel is 900mm. Some water (not much) goes out via the opening despite a 20mm drop-down into the shower recess. So, not perfect but not having to deal with mould in the nooks and crannies of a door mechanism offset the problem.
