  • Anyone know how heavy this is?

    • Thin & light design – just 2.3kg

Weighing just 2.3kg (5.1lb) and only 23.95mm (0.94”) thick, the compact design is less than 1" in height to provide maximum style and portability. But even though it's one of the thinnest and lightest notebooks in its class it still incorporates comprehensive functionality for optimum performance on the move.

Cmon Ozbargainers, find me a deal!!

Come on!!! Blueray must be standard on these laptops. When this add on will be peanuts for large scale production

This is a very nicely spec'd laptop for the price. Personally I think the screen is the letdown otherwise this would have been my laptop of choice. The screen in matte which is very nice for reducing glare, but is very underwhelming compared to the full HD screens on the likes of the HP Envy or Dell 15z. Contrast is pretty average.

      • This trend really annoys me.
You have laptops which tick almost EVERY box, in this case:
        +CPU
        +RAM
        +HDD
        +O/S
        +Wireless N + built-ins are good.

        And yet…

        -Crap Graphics card
        -Screen to match

Unless I want to void my warranties you're stuck with a screen that doesn't do fullhd (seriously anyone can buy a $100-150 standalone monitor that does fullhd properly) Yet if you want to get a FullHD screen or better gfx card the price BALLOONS to well over $2k if not $3k.

    8GB SSD
what the hell's the point in that?

Just to make core files snappier, the OS in particular.

    • It's "Express Cache" so it caches your most commonly accessed files, mostly windows files.

    • I think these laptop use Seagate Momentus XT, and btw the trackpad sucks

    • I would probably pay 100 more to get a dell inspiron 15, it comes with 32gb msata ssd, and 3rd gen core i7. Too bad just bought my lappy not long ago.

      • and that's what i just did. almost pulled the trigger on the samsung a month ago - am glad i waited. the dell is slightly clunkier and less funky looking - but much better overall.

      • I checked out the differences, half the battery life plus a pound in additional weight don't sound so great unless you don't need your Dell for mobile use…

  • not bad specs for the price

  • Here's another option: a lot of people on whirlpool recommend metabox laptops:

$20 shipping unless you pickup from Perth.

    • Ya Clevo / Metabox are generally best if you want the newest tech bits. But still price does the same "leap" to FullHD and gfx.
