Good price for an 850W 80+ Gold unit that is Tier A on LTT PSU list (also one of the best in that tier).
A little more than the MSI MPG A850GF deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/692711) and recent Enermax 850W deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/700121), but you get a zero RPM fan mode if that's important to you.
10 Year warranty and fulfilled by Amazon AU.

  • The Amazon reviews from Australia are "mixed". They make me stop to think.

Only one of the reviews was for the specific model in the post in Australia but definitely do your research before buying as with any PSU. I looked at multiple review sites and have purchased. The MSI A850GF PSU has also had reviews of it dying or failing, or DOA on Amazon and it is still popular in Australia and on LTT A Tier.

        Agree.
My Gigabyte P850GM hasn't gone into fusion mode yet.

        • It depends on when you bought it the PSU that was blowing up was first of all under extreme load and secondly it was a particular batch and they have fixed the issue since then, my 750 gigabyte is going strong.

@mmuneeb: Yeah mine is well past that serial range.

      • I don't even really consider DOA to be a black mark on electronics. Can picture it being a pain for those trying to troubleshoot when building a new system, but as long it it lasts when it's working, that's the most important thing.

Even the seeming gold-standard Corsair RMx series, I saw someone post up about their unit dying after a year. Replaced under warranty and the person was still recommending them

I see a positive in a way - but only if the maker will replace it without jumping "through hoops".
Makes you feel as though they stand by their product.

I had one blow up two PCs…I'm a bit wary of the Corsair ones now. I thought it was just a coincidence athat the board died in the first, then the same power supply in another blew up my hard drives lmao

    Down to $135 now.

Same price as Mwave and Scorptec too

    • Thanks for pointing it out, good there are more choices. Amazon has free delivery and the others don't.
