Love the fact the more points you nominate to spend, the more this costs LOL.

    • I wonder if it should have been $145, but they halved the $ figure as well as the points.

  • This is pretty obviously a mistake and Telstra Plus orders like this have been cancelled in the past. Can't see them honouring it, but we'll see I guess.

  • Kids birthday coming up, will do just fine if the pricing is honoured.

  • Thanks Op! Got one!

  • Ordered. keep you posted on the outcome.

    • my buds arrived today. noice.

  • Bummer only have 1500 points

  • Ordered - let's see what happens

    • arrived today, that's a surprise

  • Ordered, cheers

  • Telstra page gives me an error, so I can't check. Are these for $49+delivery from Catch the same (other than colour)?

  • Ordered, hoping it gets honoured

  • Ordered a pair, cheers. It seems like a bug on their website (the price + points ratio is messed up) so unlikely to be honoured

  • Thanks op, ordered.

received these today, that's very fast.. time will tell if I have the comfort issues others have noted.. Pro's would have been nice for transparency and ANC but at $72 and a token # of pts it was an easy decision.

  • Without ANC and other features i still wouldn't get it but for people who ordered let us know how it goes in a few hours or days

  • This product is temporarily out of stock.

  • ehh no anc :(

  • I got the "something went wrong" error after checkout. Think they might have fixed something.

  • Worth a punt. Don't need earbuds, but at these prices, can't resist haha.

What's the normal bargain/good price for these ones?

  • 45,000 points now but OOS

    • It got ozbargained

  • Mine was delivered already yesterday.

    • Wow, so they honored? You paid 2500 points and $72?

Its a good deal, but I feel its not a price error level good deal. Like its not $27.

      • +2

        Yup they honoured it.

  • bought one, hoping it gets honored.

  • Jagged a set

  • anyone who has this, is it actually worth the money even after the 'discount'?

    • No. They hurt after a few minutes of wearing them

      • Ear bud fit is really variable as everyone's ears are different.

        • So you take a risk buying them.
The only adjustable part is the in-ear pads and there are no issues with this. The issue is with the little flexible thing attached to them.

Lucky you if it fits and unlucky if it's not.

          • @alexshel: Yeah but that's the same with every ear bud. Look up reviews of literally any model and plenty of people will hate the fit, plenty of other will love it.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but ear bud fit is very individual.

I got these a few weeks ago for a discounted price. So far they've been fantastic with minor issues.

      Good:
For me they fit better than most earphones, and I think the sound is great for listening to music and podcasts. It has tap contains but no swipe controls for volume, which was a bummer, but I set it to auto volume based on ambient noise, and I've been blown away by how well it works. Generally integrates well with my Android/Pixel phone. Good battery life so far.

      Bad:
When my phone is in my left pocket and I cover it with my hand in a certain way, the audio cuts out. And with the phone in my left pocket, when I turn my head fully to the right, audio cuts out. Encountered a bug where I had the earphones in but told my phone to play audio through my phone speakers, then I took my earphones out and the phone decided to pause the audio.

  • got them for $105, didn't feel comfy wearing them. YMMV

  • Also wondering did anyone get extra bonus 10k points for this offer any Telstra market purchase? I think it was the last promo Telstra ran.

    • If you mean the second lot of 10K for making a purchase, then yes. Its in the main deal, for everyone
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/699323

Made the purchase and painfully waiting for the points (17th May…) as usual, unimpressed with how slow Telstra 'things' are

      • thanks. gonna look for the cheapest thing

      • I only got the points for signing up for the Telstra market 2 days ago, so I'm not expecting the next 10K anytime soon.

  • So how well does this real time translation work? If I walk down the street and suddenly a Japanese guy runs up to me to have a casual philosophical chat about life in Greek, will it translate his speech into grammatically perfect English back to me on the earphones?

If he talks about eating Saganaki in Nagasaki, you should be fine

I have this for cycling and exercising. The Google Assistant integration is very handy when I cannot reach my phone. The recent firmware update with bass adjustments saved it. Before this, the sound signature was just too lean. However I must say it is one of a few that produces a good soundstage. The fit is quite natural for me and I don't experience any air pressure problems. It is quite open. However, it isn't as open as AirPods Pro's transparency mode for example. You can still hold a conversation but in noisy environments you might have to take it out. Having said that you can still hear the surroundings so if you're cycling, exercising or commuting, these are OK.

I do have to say that any pair (e.g. Beats Fit Pro) that can trigger voice assistant will be able to access Google Assistant. The Pixel Buds do have the touch to talk feature so there is not lag between long pressing to trigger voice assistant.

    • Most smart headphones trigger the google assistant on phone. Very few I believe have it on the device. This is one of them I believe. JBL has few models as well.

  • Do not buy, they will hurt your ears. User feedback.

People said the same thing about the Galaxy earbuds pro, I have them, works really well for me. No ear infection or discomfort.

+1, sold them after a week use

  • Australia Post app says ready for processing.

  • I've received notification from Telstra that my parcel is on the way

  • Wow arriving today, that was super fast.

    • same here, I expected a cancellation.

  • I've received it, they honored the deal. Its funny that they require a signature for a sim card pack, but they left my buds in my mailbox because I couldn't get to the door because of a meeting.

Why do they not just deliver sim cards when I'm not home while they leave an item like the Pixel buds which is worth more? The sim needs to be activated to be used anyways, its useless by itself.

    • Identity theft

      • What identity theft? They KYC you when you activate the sim.

  • Mine just arrived

    • received mine as well, very comfortable.

  • Got mine today, so quick!

Hmm yeah I'm with the others on this those little support plastic really digs into the ears.
Quite sore after a bit.. Will see if my ears get used to it don't think they have refunds on these?

  • Received mine today. Pretty quick

    • +1

Pretty quick? Within 24hrs. You're hard to please

Technically 30 hours for me, but I am impressed, and pleased :)
