I'm not buying from Aliexpress ever again. Some jerk sold me $30 worth of fake tritium camping lights which turned out to be cheap useless phosphor glow sticks. During the case resolution, the seller countered my carefully labelled, photographed evidence comparing and contrasting them to actual Tritium by repeating the phrase "What is problem? Glow is glowing."

TLDR: I give up on these a** clowns.

    • +6

      Paypal dispute mate.

      • +2

Can't. I used my CC to take advantage of this 'bargain'. If you read that comment, you'll see that receiving counterfeit goods for the wanted portion of this order 'hack' was the final blow in what proved to be an unprecedented sh*tshow.

        • +2

Oof, that sucks! I always thought that trick was too good to be true but I was too lazy to try. Feel bad for those who got caught out.

        • +2

Credit card dispute? Done this a few times, just had to provide pics/evidence of goods not as ordered.

Ali haven't closed my account, yet!

      • Can you use PayPal for this site?

        • +1

PayPal was added about a year ago min. $1 spend.

          • @Sheng: Hi Sheng I want to purchase a tablet on Aliexpress using PayPal but not there as an option. You seem to indicate you can use it on AE now but from what I read it is only a limited number of sellers.

            Is that your understanding?

            • @Captain Hindsight: Probably only available to an affiliated seller to the Alixpress affiliated program. Since based on my transaction a holding account under "Alipay (Australia) Pty Ltd receive the funds.

    • +24

I only buy things on Aliexpress which either:

      Cannot be fake
      Are low value/common
      Have good reviews/many orders

      • +5

Or has a number of good photo reviews,
but the above 3 are the only things you should be using Ali express for (with the exception of some Chinese brands with official stores)

        • Or item with free return.

      • Or recommended by friends/YouTube vloggers.

Obviously don't but the very cheapest items, most likely junk.

    • +26

So I suppose you didn't give the seller a glowing review?

    • -1

You played the system in a way that wasn't fair and you lost. Not sure why you are in the right and they're in the wrong. You're all in the wrong.

      • +2

People negging may not realise he was abusing a hack to activate coupons he wasn't eligible to use

        • +1

'tis true, sadly. Had I not been trying the 'hack' I would have paid PayPal, and a full refund would have been assured. Lesson learned 😉

    • Jack Mama once said, fake products are better than the authentic ones.

  • Did people who used the last deal have their purchases tracked?

    • +1

I have had some not track but contact customer support and they'd sort you out (most of the time). Just bought something now and it hasn't tracked, not sure if it's a delay issue but it'll be frustrating to have to contact them again.

    • Did you confirm delivery when you received your products under "Orders" in your account? That releases the funds to the seller and then Cashrewards get the commission to pay you your cashback.

      • How do you confirm delivery? I see no option. Or is this only for orders that have no tracking? My last order shows item was delivered.

        • If you go to Account > Orders > Shipped there's a Confirm Order Received button. Sometimes orders with tracking will automatically confirm once received. If it doesn't and you don't confirm then it'll auto confirm after a few weeks and your cashback will most certainly be void.

So when you receive your order make sure it's confirmed.

          • @Clear: Interesting … why would the cashback be void if it auto-confirms? Nowadays, shipping is so slow that I often receive goods weeks after they've auto-confirmed. Does that mean I can't get a cashback unless I confirm delivery on time (even if I haven't actually received them)?

            • @McCynix:

Confirmation of delivery or goods received must be made on AliExpress within 90 days of placing your order to be eligible for cashback.

Auto confirmation is longer than 90 days.

  • Time to get the Lenovo P11 I suppose

    • +1

      $15 capped…

      • Thank you, I read that.

  • +1

Is there a way to just search all eligible items and filter from there? The link checking thingy is a bit tedious on an iPhone

  • bargainsgrabber, you grew a moustache and dyed your hair!

    Thanks for the post.

    • +1

      No worries!

Hahaha pretty sure my moustache was there in the previous photo too, prolly it was a faint one

The hair wasn’t meant to be blonde previously lol

  • +1

    tracked instantly!

  • Wouldn't mind a bottomless portafilter (for Gaggia classic) if anyone has a good seller to recommend. Can't go too wrong as long as it's not one of the real cheapies.

  • +2

Thanks for this. Had about $30 USD of stuff I've been wanting to buy for a few months. Been hanging out for a coupon or sale, but the last few I was under the min amount.
This way I get 20% off (before shipping & GST) and don't need to add extra things in to pad up the total.

  • What are affiliate products?

    • Products with affiliate cashbacks

  • +1

what about aliexpress/store coupons , think they are still ok?

    • +1

      Yes they're fine

      • Sweet, cheers.
        And tracked.

  • Mine all previous purchases through Cashrewards none tracked. Had to lodge claims manually. What a PITA.

    • Using Honey or adblock? :)

      • +1

I find the phone app works the best, just have to make sure to turn off the private DNS on phone dns.adguard.com

        • +2

CR app is always safest. Definitely 100% have your DNS adblocker off.

      • Safari. No apps whatsoever.

        • Make sure prevent cross-site tracking is disabled in Safari.

          • @Clear: Clicked through Cashrewards website to open AliExpress app. Only all purchases made from AliExpress are never tracked but purchases from Amazon Australia and other online stores work fine.

            • @wtfnodeal: And you've used the link checker before to make sure they're affiliated items?

              • @Clear: Yes. I knew the purchase wouldn’t be tracked so I also took a screenshot and copied the link on clickboard to have it ready for staff from Cashrewards when they asked for proof that item was affiliated LOL.

                • @wtfnodeal: Could be an issue with using web browser to AE app. Why not just use the CR app and see how you go?

                  • @tightarse: I had CR app installed when it was first launched but had some bugs and sometimes it closed by itself. I deleted it not long after using it a few times and went back to using CR website. I will probably give the CR app a try again.

                    • @wtfnodeal: Please do. You'll find improved tracking :)

                      • @tightarse: Unfortunately missed out on this deal, login error message on AliExpress site opened within Cashrewards app.

"For your account security, logging in to Facebook from an embedded browser is disabled. To continue, download and log in to the Facebook app on your device and try again."

                        • @jeworge: Could you not log in without Facebook?

                          • @tightarse: I probably could if I created another account or alternatively if I had had access to a PC.

                            • +1

@jeworge: Next time ping me with any issue. I'll try to sort it out right away :)

  • Mine didn’t track…yet. Bought a flextailgear pump. Looks good and mobile.

  • Does anyone know how to use the product eligibility link? For eg. this product link below, I have tried different combinations of it but the product eligibility link keeps giving me a warning the URL or product ID is invalid.

    https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKmF1sW

    • +2

It's hard to do it on the phone app (read I couldn't find the product id or share a link), easier if you open website on PC to check. I just copied the whole address.

Edit opened the link in an incognito window, then pasted into the checker in the OP.

      Says it's affiliated :)

8bitdo xbox controller. $56.4 charged on my credit card minus 20% cashrewards so around $45

If anyone wants the Steeldive SD1970 it's an affiliated product.

    • +100.
Almost my favourite watch, including some genuine watches that aren't cheap. Brilliant and less snobbery from the homage point of view considering it's based on a retro watch that isn't sold anymore. Picked one up a couple of times ago (11.11 sale) with a few vouchers and 20% cashback, cost me about A$100.

  • Affiliated product - Lenovo Tab P11

I believe with the cashback it makes this an all time low.

Just casually browsing my shopping cart, oh I need this. So I logged into Cashrewards bam 20% off, 10 minutes to go. Hit the Buy Now button and CR tracked email received. Nice one.

  • +1

Thanks. Almost forgot about too it but got in there just in time and has tracked already…

  • +1

how the heck did i miss this!

    • Same, it didn't show up in my notifications despite my phone having them on! I was waiting so hard for this.

      i cri

      • That’s weird tho, I followed the exact format from the previous deal posted by Clear

        • Related stores under the deal doesn't show AliExpress so that's why they didn't get the notification. I've had trouble with it autodetecting recently and have had to get the mods to add it manually.

    • Same here. Fingers crossed shopback does something similar by the end of the month.

      • yeah will wait on this.
