Horizon GR7 Indoor Cycle $1,099 Delivered @ Johnson Fitness & Wellness

20

I came across this while researching Stationary Bikes.

HORIZON GR7 INDOOR CYCLE

Inspired by the design of Tour de France spin bike, everything from the perfected geometry of our frame to the ergonomically adjustable, highly customisable touchpoints was engineered to fit your body in all phases of your favourite outdoor journey. You’ll experience an ultrasmooth, comfortable ride whether you’re squeezing in a quick workout or charging hard for a new personal best.

EDIT: Added item to cart with my details and was contacted by them via mobile and was asked if I'd buy it if they reduced the price by a further 5%.

for a grand you could get a decent giant or trek hybrid bike

      or a 2nd hand corolla
or 1,000 snickers bars when on special

      • Or half of something that costs twice as much

Can you ride it indoors and stationery for this price too?

      • Trainers are quite cheap. Even fluid ones. So long as you don't want instantaneous power readings.

        • Do we think people in the market for a thousand dollar spin bike to do spin classes actually want a road/mountain bike bolted to a resistance trainer in their loungeroom?

    OP have you bought this?

    • No, was going to do a little research first.

Seems like you posted this just to get feedback. Obviously you want us to do your research. Even though its not a good deal.

Can recommend this bike and the company. I bought same from them about 18 months ago. Great service from Johnson Fitness and bike has been working flawlessly and used nearly every day during that time.

    Minor niggles:
Resistance adjustment has about 12 increments. Perfectly fine unless you do some classes such as Les Mills spin where they expect you to be able to increase resistance in smaller increments. The bikes used at gyms have 80+ levels.

The bluetooth sometimes takes a while to connect BUT this could be my aging Nexus 7 rather than the bike.

    • What app do you use?

Its called FitDisplay. Definitely in Google App store, not sure about Apple.

        • Cheers. Thank you

  • Great for pros. For casuals will be bent over frontwards 90 degrees and cut in half by that seat.

Purchased this 9 months ago from SportsMart. Great bike until the belt snapped.

First repair caused more issues with the bike.
After chasing JHTA and SportsMart for over a month and a half, 3 repairs later, it still was not working correctly.

Extremely poor customer service from both parties. Emails and phone calls not responded to.
Ended up having to get lawyers involved to resolve the issue.

  • OP, Peloton prices have come down again, might be worth a look - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/695035

Not familiar with this bike. But if willing to spend slightly more, take a look at Echelon EX3. If hoping to spend somewhat less, hard to look past Yesoul S3.

    • I could have got the Yesoul S3 for $399 recently but put off purchasing for too long and it went back up to $599. I'll take a look at the Echelon, cheers.

Bought this same bike for $1900 about 2 years ago and still going strong. Extremely good quality indoor bike, app is also very useful.

    • We got these bikes at the work gym. What app do you use?
