Logitech MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse - Graphite - $99 + Delivery (Direct Import) @ Dick Smith by Kogan

870

The Logitech MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse is instant precision and infinite potential. It’s designed for creators and engineered for coders. If you can think it, you can master it.

Scroll 1000 lines in one second

All-new MagSpeed Electromagnetic scrolling is precise enough to stop on a pixel and quick enough to scroll 1,000 lines in a second. Oh and it’s nearly silent. The wheel’s machined steel gives it a premium tactility and enough weight to offer a dynamic inertia you feel – but don’t hear.

Crafted form meets intuitive control

Work comfortably with a silhouette perfectly crafted for the shape of your palm. Create, make and do more intuitively with ideally-placed front/back and gesture buttons – and a new thumb wheel.

Multiple computers, one MX Master 3

Seamlessly control multiple computers with your Flow-enabled MX Master 3 by simply moving your cursor to the edge of the screen. Your MX Master 3 flows with you, even between Windows and macOS operating systems. Effortlessly transfer text, images and files between computers – just copy on one and paste to the other.

Track faster – on virtually any surface

MX Master 3 is faster and more precise so you hit the right pixel every single time. Logitech Darkfield Tracking allows you to track on virtually any surface – even glass – with best-in-class 4000 DPI precision.

USB-C quick charging

MX Master 3 stays powered for up to 70 days on a full charge – and gets 3 hours of use from a one-minute quick charge.

  • duh.. i still have the original mx advance (very old but works), and now currently using ergo trackball, feeling a bit pain on the wrist, will this mx 3 help me?
to be exact. on the outer wrist (near that big bone yes i have skinny wrist). and also cold freezing hand

    • +1

I have both like you. I just have the older m570. I use the ball at work and the Mx at home. But it sounds like you may benefit from a wrist pad.

      • thanks. i had the m570 as well but re-sold and bought mx ergo. much better i think.
also can connect to multiple devices

        • Yea, I would upgrade just for that.

Nothing against OP or the deal, but damn Logitech has some interesting marketing. Under what scenario is scrolling 1000 lines in a second necessary as the top feature?

    • +4

when the 1000 lines are about nasty stuffs

    • +14

Under what scenario is scrolling 1000 lines in a second necessary as the top feature?

Logitech r&d were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

    • +6

It's kind of like pressing home/end without having to move your hand.
      Surprisingly useful imo

    • +9

It can be annoying when you're holding down shift at the same time and you accidentally zoom a webpage either really large or really small.

      • +24

press ctrl 0 to get back to 100%

        • +5

          This is super helpful thanks

    • Hey that's a key selling point for me

    • +6

Lucky you're not a programmer. We need to see spaghetti code and this fast scrolling wheel is very useful.

    • +1

      Nothing against OP

I just copied what was in the description.

      • +1

… that's why they wrote "nothing against OP"

    • +1

Surprisingly useful when you're dealing with dinosaurs that refuse to use anything other than Excel to store data.

    • Very easy to flick through web pages and documents. I used it all the time on an older model until the left click button crapped out on me.

    • +2

I'm guessing you've never encountered large Excel files or Word docs where this super fast scrolling feature would come into play. I have some CSV files with 10's of 1000's of rows of reporting data. Definitely a game changer!

    • +5

It's mainly to get to the ingredients section straight away on a recipe website

      • The bloat on those websites is REAL!!!!

    • You might scroll past this deal 🙃

    • Programming. I miss that scrollwheel now that I switched to an ergo trackball. Even websites it was so good just flicking the scrollwheel.

  • Waiting for a further price drop with the 3S coming out

  • Does this support directly connecting to tablets without dongle?

    • +4

      you can connect via bluetooth.

  • +1

    How does warranty work?

  • +2

    infinite potential

    Wow. That's some bold claims.

    • jv, is that you?

      • No, I didn't randomly bold words.

    • hmm then we will end up with $16 dick card… kind of meh but okay i guess

      • $10 shipping + 2x $2.90 Kogam sim.

        • ah so basically we get free delivery hmmm tempted

  • This or the Razer viper?

    • +7

MX Master is more for productivity instead of gaming, so it depends on what you're after.

    • Extremely different use cases and even within their fields they're different.

Master is a very "ergo" palm-grip shape without being full "ergo". 125 Hz polling means it's going to feel pretty slushy if you're at all sensitive to latency. Very much the 8-hour productivity mouse.

Viper is symmetrical, which generally offers much less hand support in favour of a more nimble grip. Super low latency. The FPS/RTS mouse.

  • MX keys and this never seem to go down in price thanks to wfh

  • Been using the MX Master 3 and MX Keys duo for the last 2 weeks, very handy to have.
Can sync on different devices and interchange at a click of a button (has inbuilt function keys on each device). For $99, I would say it's a good price!

  • Well done OP. I was putting this one in, but you beat me to it.

Great mouse and good feel. Think I got mine at Chrissy for around $30 extra.

  • +1

Have two of these, and they are great when dealing between multiple devices (switching is easy) and they are nice mouse to operate. Have a grey and black version, so know the different ones and what they are used for.

  • +1

Why no one mentioned the $8.99 shipping? :|

  • +1

Does it have infinite scroll issue like other Logitech mouse eg. M720?
After scrolling down, it scrolls up a little bit by itself.

    • +1

YES, bought mine last month and had to return it after a couple of days, so bad it was.
You start scrolling and it "shakes" the scroll up and down, doesn't reliably register the "clicks".
Searched online and there's a lot of people with the same problems with this mouse, I was shocked that no reviewers talk about this issue.
Tried everything possible and at the end had to return it, didn't risk getting another unit. It's just ridiculous.
I also didn't like the mouse as much as I think I would, having smaller hands.
Ended up getting a small wireless Dell one and much happier with it.

      • Thanks for the reply. I was thinking to upgrade from M720 to this one as infinite scroll is driving me crazy. I have turned off infinite scroll using provided switch on the top but that defeats the purpose.

How you finding your Dell mouse? I have to check whether any other company's mouse supports connecting to multiple devices and provide addition buttons such as back and forward and infinite + horizontal scrolls.

        • Hi sorry for the delay, didn't see your reply!
Totally agree with the scroll thing, it defeats the purpose.
I bought the "Dell Premier Rechargeable Wireless Mouse – MS7421W"
Super happy with it, it has multiple devices (2 bluetooth + 1 RF with the USB dongle), there are back and forward buttons and also the scroll wheel can click left and right, all customizable.
It doesn't have horizontal scroll though, which would have been nice but I can live without it.
The mouse is way smaller than the MX one, and that's what one of the things I like about it.
Changing between devices works great, I switch between my macbook with the USB dongle, desktop PC (bluetooth) and my iPhone (bluetooth), just clicking the button at the top.

  • Dick Smith by Kogan, yeah, sure

I have an MX Master 3, Overall I don't recommend it… even the ergo design and battery life real nice. but it is way too heavy, (around 140g, the iPhone 12mini is like 135g) )especially when you are used to some good wireless gaming mice, and often these gaming mice have better accuracy and latency.

Now I use the razer DeathAdder pro for cad work and modelling, only use Mxm3 when the razer is recharging or website visiting…

    • +7

Unlike an iPhone, you don't pick up and carry the MX Master 3 around. I find its weight provides for more precision. Never felt it was heavy. I don't game but this is the best productivity mouse I have ever used.

      • +1

The master 3 is indeed the best productivity mouse I've ever used, and it feels great in the hand. I use the mouse for about 8 hours a day, and about 12 hours during overtime (architectural industry). The heavyweight does make the wrist easy to fatigue when using it for a long time.

I hope that the next gen, Logitech can make it lighter, and then add counterweights like g903 or g502 to let users choose their own weight.

    • I also don't recommend it. Had many technical issues and had to return it. Lots of people complaining about the scroll wheel (one of the main features and selling points), doesn't work reliably. That was my problem with it, scroll "ticks" wouldn't register and jitter around while you are scrolling, totally unreliable.

Tried everything possible to solve the issue and at the end of the day had to return it. Shocked that no reviewers talk about this problem, whilst reddit was full of people complaining about it.

Regarding the ergo design, it's fitted for bigger hands, mine being smaller hands I also didn't like it compared to smaller ones, so returned it and got a dell one instead which was much better and reliable.

  • Bought 1. Thanks OP! My original Master MX, the thumb button stopped working after a good 5+ years of use. Known problem that it does not click. Hopefully this one will better as its a newer model.

  • These will be on special a fair bit for a while I suspect, because there's an upgraded model just released - the MX Master 3S.

  • Sounds super useful for digital forensics/e-discovery grunt work
