How does warranty work when buying from Amazon US (through Amazon US)?

I just had a DC550 die after 18 months which I bought through Amazon US (via Amazon AU) and I was refunded by Amazon AU with zero hassle.

    • OOS? Only available from third party sellers (via Amazon) now, which isn't worth the hassle and risk

Ive seen this listing its only for the refurbished model and is not the iron wolf, see the reviews some turn up dead. I thought this deal was too good to be true

    • There's no mention of refurb and it's listed as Ironwolf Pro so that sounds like you get a free drive after you claim it with customer service.

  • Need some good deals on Exos drives

  • FYI, there's a HDD group buy over here if this goes OOS/etc: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/703948

  • I bought one of these, and it was promptly stolen by Australia Post at the distribution centre.. ie. box arrived at distrbution centre, was scanned and never left. I lodged a complaint, Aust Post said 'just get your money back from Amazon', they didn't seem conceerned at all that someone was stealing parcels under their watch.. only parcel I have ever lost was a high value item, like they can somehow scan the contents. Anyway.. got money back

    • that's because Amazon gets the money back from AU Post, if the item is not in your possession then the compensation goes to the sender.

Post a bargain thread when these are $160 - otherwise still overpriced
