Big shame. These guys got bought out recently and shut down all if not most of their brick and mortar stores

    • Didn't they get brought out by Pushys?

      • Yeah bought out by Pushys

        • Trek bought out Cyclesgalleria recently as well :(

    • did they close the Alexandria store?

    • No mention of any stores at all on the website anymore…

    • +2

Yep and their customer service has gone down the gurgler. Had to take them to Consumer Affairs recently just to get a refund on a faulty light.

This is how capitalism works, there is always a drive towards bigger and bigger monopolies, to avoid an unnecessary waste of margin by competition."There can be only one"…

    • No wonder they became online only.

  • +6

Yep. Closed all stores. Bought by Pushys. This is clearly a consolidation of everything sale. Wouldn't be surprised if they disappear sometime soon. They were always cheaper than Pushys too

yeah easy to price match against 99bikes as well

      • +1

I was once refused a price match for BikeBug at 99 Bikes as it was below their cost price.

    • Fwiw "In an interview with the Latz Report, Pushys co-owner Shane Wolki confirmed that Bikebug and FRF Sports will continue to operate largely unchanged from a consumer point of view. Additionally, there are plans to expand Bikebug’s current road focus to incorporate premium off-road bikes, too. Pushys will continue to focus on the lower- and middle-level cycling markets" https://cyclingtips.com/2022/02/australian-industry-news-pus…

Damn that sucks. Pushys are more expensive even with there 15% sales.

  • Any recommendation on gloves? Looking for some for my commute to work, but there's like 5 thousand options to choose from…

  • Can someone please suggest a good bike stand? The one which allows you to mount you bike and cycle indoors. TIA

    • are you looking for a smart trainer or just a basic one

      • What's the difference, if you don't mind?. Sorry, I am seemingly noob at this.

        • a smart trainer you can use with virtual riding apps like Zwift, Trainer Road & Wahoo System and it can adjust the resistance

A dumb trainer you will just adjust the resistance manually

          • @impoze: Would like Smart trainer. Do they work with any kind of bikes?

            • @thegreatermamba: they work with most bikes, as they come with all sorts of adapters etc.

What bike are you using, any budget?

  • Bought some lights and a bleed kit, cheers cobber

    • picked up the jagwire bleed kit weeks ago! It's great!

  • Thanks OP. Chain is due for replacement. And bought the 105 cassette for backup.

Shame that the brake pads are mostly sold out. Anywhere else that stock resin pads for Shimano 105 brakes?

  • +2

Just be mindful they have price jacked a few items - Brake Pads last night were $40, now $50 (- 20%) = $40.

thanks op - grabbed some latex tubes to try out - worked out to $12 each with the code

  • Thanks, been waiting for a deal to get a Garmin Epix
