"Improved" is debatable. It is Dark Souls 2 with all three DLCs but they changed the enemy and item locations and not for the better. It runs a solid 60fps though.

i just noticed checking the actual psn store the whole trilogy is on sale; dark souls 1 remastered is $27, when its been $13 before… dark souls 3 deluxe is $25 but its been down to $18 for anyone interested.
bit ridiculous theres not like a $30 bundle or something… gouging on the ds1 remaster off of elden ring playerbase. might wait on that by the time i get round to replaying it, will probably be cheaper…
I think there is a physical bundle but I don't think there is a digital one.

What I learned from going back to playing old classic is "it's disappointing", bring back memory, but no thanks.After playing Elden ring my SO has since mostly completed DS3 and is excited to start 1 and 2.
Obviously everyone's enjoyment could be different, but it's a bit unfair to scare people away from the older games simply because they lack a small portion of features or accessibility compared to Elden Ring.

That's exactly why you play them in order! I just played Dark Souls Remastered over christmas / new year and really enjoyed it. I've got 2 and 3 in the pile of shame waiting for some attention (maybe DS2 over christmas this year!). Someday after I've finished those, THEN I'll look at Elden Ring. And by then I'll have probably added it to my pile of shame for about $6.23, too :D
Disagree. I finished Elden Ring first and I'm now close to finishing Bloodborne. It's amazing. I recommend any PlayStation owners who have finished Elden Ring to play it immediately.
Elden Ring is nowhere near as good as any of the DS games. Worst bosses in the entire 'souls' series.
I pre-ordered Elden Ring and fired it up just recently and the horse mount boss kicked my butt for 7hrs play time, ended up lvl8 and with a sword to smack it!!!!!

Having said that, good price. I've only played Demon's Souls, not the Dark Souls series, so I'm tempted to pick this up.It would definitely surprise me. Only From game to ever be added to PS+ was Bloodborne, and that's because it was published by Sony. (Actually, not sure if the original Demon's Souls was ever on it).
I wholeheartedly recommend this, but I do say that knowing it is the weakest of the series. Still great, but weak and clunky compared to the others. Took me saying "it's the last one I am yet to play, might as well" to get more than an hour in, but I was glad I did.
PS3 Demons Souls was on PS+ in 2013.
