After a successful edition in 2021, The Other Art Fair is returning to Sydney on the 21-24th of July at The Cutaway, Sydney. At our fairs, you can meet emerging artists and leave with an original piece of art.

When the art world as you knew it went one way, we went the other. Where elitism is the norm, we dared to deviate. Art isn’t confined to convention or rule, and how you enjoy it shouldn’t be either. Forget the typical, white-walled experience. You won’t find VIP ropes outside our door.

Here, art is for everyone. We’ve created something different, and we want you to experience it. We combine original yet affordable works from 110 independent artists with immersive installations, performances, DJs – and a fully stocked bar.

So why not do something impulsive, get excited, and revel in the creativity? You belong here.

      and have you seen what prices charge if need to pay?

        You need to pay for the art. Prices depend on the artist. Most of the artists are there as well, so you can talk to them about their work.

          yeah so just to get an idea of the prices you can expect

          what sort of prices did you seen or heard when you were there?
          also how good is the art? like archibald level or average etc..

            @pinkybrain: Anywhere from a few hundred to the thousands. I'm no art expert, but there were a handful of artists that I really enjoyed, but their larger artwork was mostly $5k+. They also have prints for much cheaper.

      You can bring children to the event. We will have food trucks so the kids menu will be dependent on those caterers.

    Unless you're looking to purchase art (few hundred to thousand $) or prints ($100+) this is mainly just a browse of random art. We walked out understanding that we couldn't bring ourselves to buy anything, unless it was a print, and even then, it didn't feel worth it to us. We look to creating our own art and/or printing on a canvas now. People did walk out with large art (size of their body) costing thousands ($5000+), though, so there are people who did find value 🤷

    If you're interested in the artists, most have Instagram accounts or websites, so you can see their art there.

      Sorry to hear that you are having problems.

      You need to click on 'enter promo code' on the side bar, type in the code and then scroll down to your desired day between Friday to Sunday. Here, you select a ticket that says 'COMP.'
