      Legend, thanks mate.

    • There is no stock in Narren Warren and the storeman told me that there is no stock anywhere in Melbourne.

    • Thanks, just wondering how do you check the stock in real time? Through officework website?

        • +1

Thanks for this … it was accurate. Picked up the last unit at my local store. There was no stock or labels on shelves but a staff member found it out the back, so there's little chance Joe Public is going to see it's still on clearance. Will give this a go for front door / garage usage and stick with wired dumb NVR setup for whole of property cctv.

    • Cheers - Just went to Elizabeth and Bourke St in VIC, both are out of stock now.

This is actually good deal as it come with homebase 1. Homebase 1 memory can be expanded with microsd up to 128gb. Newer bundle come with homebase 2 with 16gb internal storage without option to upgrade the storage as eufy want you to subscribe to eufy cloud 😆

    • +1

Can the newer cameras link to the older home base?

      • Can anyone or does anyone know the answer to this question please?

    • +4

Nah thieves will do owners the favour by long pressing the sync buttons on the cameras to wipe out all the saved footages to free up the internal storage.

      • Remove the sync button hack

    • +2

16GB is not as bad as it sounds.

I have 2,957 motions recorded (2 cameras over 137 days) and I still have 8.63GB free.

Ring only stores your recordings in the cloud for 60 days.

    • What are people planning to do with all their recordings of themselves? Since the glitch when we could access another random person’s HomeBase instead of our own, I’m wary of having too many recordings of myself stored that I don’t really need.

  • these are the very base model EufyCam Full-HD and supercheap has them for 360, honestly id spend a bit more and get something from their 2k line or the floodlight

  • Nah won’t get this one

    Cons:

    • 1080p
    • cameras need charging
    • firmware vulnerabilities
    • bad customer care
    • expensive even at 50% off

    Pros:

    • none

Get wired (3MP minimum) IP cameras connected to NVR.

I agree the Eufy cameras are absolutely crap. They inly record motion randomly. I have the floodlight camera pro 2 and twice my house was vandalised and the cameras didn't pickup anything.

      • This is why I'm not choosing eufy. Absolutely no point getting if it can't do the one thing it's supposed to do.
People will argue sensitivity and other settings, but the issue remains.

      • Did you ever try changing the settings? I just got a set recently, and after actually testing them, the difference is pretty dramatic. Before writing something off as "absolutely crap", I would definitely recommend testing it out properly and maybe reading the instructions if you get stuck.

I bought a set of 4 with Base station from JB in Jan. The cameras never recorded any movement, neve sent me a notification, still struggling with the eufy customer care to get one of the camera configured to the base station, the batteries got discharged within 2 months. My conclusion is these are good to be shown as Dummy cam, but not at this price. The wired ones would be very useful. Let me knwo if anyone else has a good experience with these.

    • I totally agree these cameras are absolutely crap. Have the floodlight pro 2 and it doesn't record most of the motions.

  • Eufy real life reviews and testing seem really poor for wireless cameras.
I was incredibly keen to get some for the new place, but after doing some research and people's feedback, I think a safer option to properly record security footage is a hardwired solution.
Shame as I wanted to play with eufy as it seems like an awesome modern solution.

    • Did you ended up getting some other brand? Any recommendations as I’m looking for one too 😁

      • Haven't yet chosen anything just yet. Most likely will be a Swann product though.
YouTube reviews of products are a great option to get honest feedback (so long as they aren't sponsored by the product)

I set up a EUFY system and it’s was really easy even with someone like me with limited skills. I spent more and went with the 2k cameras, wireless makes it easy and the camera batteries seem to last around 4 months. Easy to download any footage so I highly rate EUFY. This is a good deal.

    Previous eufy owner here.

Eufy support is terrible, they will patronise and simply blame its a problem with the user. As a few have mentioned there is a vulnerability with the cameras. How about local storage expansion with the hub? That was promised years ago, nope, too hard, aint happening. Wifi security cameras are just no good. I can give a whole list of issues with eufy as a company and the software and hardware itself. Just avoid these punks.

Please please dont get eufy cameras. If ya want a proper security camera system, go wired. Period.

    • What’s a good wired solution that works with HomeKit Secure Video?

      • I would get a hikvision although they don’t have compatibility with homekit but in general are very good cameras

    • Hard disagree

I've had eufy gear for years, it's all awesome even at 1080p. I don't need it for security, but for watching wildlife, weather, pets, talking to the postie etc. All satellites have been running with solar panels, never had a problem.

Goes alright with home assistant and Google home, too.

    Bloody brilliant

  • Can the newer cameras link to the older home base?

  • Damn, I just want the cameras out of the kit, but no kits within 200km of me.
