How does this compare to the Gigabyte that's $419 ?

id take the gigabyte given its got more cooling headroom

Temperatures on this x600 series cards are generally very low across the board due to RDNA's high efficiency scaling at the lower end. I would be fine with whichever one is cheaper.

The Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT GAMING OC PRO (https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/graphics-cards/amd/91668…) includes Saints Row and Sniper Elite 5 redemption codes so if anyone is going to buy those games AND a new card, this might work out cheaper.

The OC PRO's beefier cooler hopefully means lower fan speeds to maintain temperature and better lifespan / resell value until 40 series cards get to this price (4060 for $400)

      • True.. but VRM and RAM still get just as hot as any other card pushing 160w.. may as well get the better cooling

VRM and RAM makes contact to the heatsink?

          • @Domicron: Most designs these days do.. they use thermal pads… :) the base plate is huge

Excellent deal OP. I have a 5600XT and am quite pleased with it's performance even for 1440P 144Hz gaming.

Literally more than 50% off from the RRP(Ripoff Retail Price). Still remember we were fighting over the RX 6600 XT Hellhound and Red Devil versions for $700-$720.

    • I hate these prices. Paid a premium last year. laugh

  • Great card for 1080P gaming. Installed one in my daughter's computer recently and it's really awesome. I would recommend it if you're looking to upgrade.
