  • Being compatable with Lego means that they infringe on Lego's block patents.

  • coles was selling compatible blocks a few months ago. I think the box was $15, dont recall how many blocks there were.

so, i guess this cant be all that illegal.

  • What's the address for pick up? I couldn't find it in your website.

    • Pick up from Ashfield NSW 2131.

  • All i saw was pizza hmmmm

  • I bought chinese lego-compatible bricks on ebay once. They connected, but obviously didn't have the same quality control Lego does. Major feel and click fail. Just not the same.

Let's hope this Chinese brand is better.
But….you get what you pay for. Lego is expensive for a reason, (excluding the reason that Lego over charge to Australia because they can).

Voting neutral (i.e. not voting), because these ones may be as good as genuine Lego, but I doubt it.

  • +1

As David Theodore said, you get what you pay for - plastics may be softer on non-lego bricks, joining action may not be as strong. The only way to see whether this is a deal, would be to compare a non-lego set to another non-lego set.

Lego commands a premium, because of the quality control over its set, its licensed themes (star wars, DC/Marvel superheroes), and the very size and diversity of its operations (manufacturing, design, distribution, marketing).

    I love lego.

    • To paraphrase Schwinn, Lego click together with a snap.
The previous Chinese Lego compatible bricks I bought, were in fact, softish, and didn't have that nice snap.

Wanky as it sounds, one of the appeal of Lego is the way they snap together.
They're expensive, but they last, and are actually an investment. Check out ebay for proof that last decades second hand bricks go for todays retail prices.

    • I agree. Lego is awesome, and in my experience the cheap knock-offs simply don't have the same quality control.
