  • Hey OP, Is there a limit date for activating the Boost plans? I'd have to activate it in August.

    • Looks like current Boost deal ends on July 4th.
Right now it only includes 20GB extra but might change drastically in new financial year.

    • +1

It becomes a bit of a gamble after 4 July.

    • Forgoing the bonus data, what is the expiry for the SIM card to be activated?

This would be for the wife who isn't a huge data consumer anyway.

  • +1

Hi, If you activate the SIM before 4 July, you can get 140GB for $200 SIM or 260GB for $300SIM. After 4 July, Boost may or may not change their current plan, which we don't know yet.

    • Can I buy this and if after 4th July the plan changes, activate this?

Or would I need a different sim if the plan from boost changes?

    • Just want to confirm, if I activate after 4 July, I will get the standard data allocation which is 240GB?

    • Boost is currently advertising 140GB if you activate by 26/9/22. Is that applicable to these SIMs too?

"140GB on your first recharge, 130GB from 2nd recharge. Value Sim includes first recharge. Data offer valid for new customers only who activate by 26 Sept 2022. Terms Apply"

  • Got a text today from boost stating that from 26 September 2022 Boost will provide 5G for those wondering when 5G will finally come to boost.

    • I got the same text this morning and it is free trial until 26/09. I checked and was clocking 370 mbps around Chadstone. Said 5g up the top on my boost mobile too.

      • Same, pretty good

        • I am a bit concerned that we will get used to 5G and will struggle after the free trial. Haha

          • +1

@gadgetfreak28: yeah, hopefully they bring out some new 365 day 5G card for an affordable (similar) price for next year when mine runs out. Onto my second 4g card (this time just got the 140GB which is serving me well - got wifi at home/work), last time was easy on the chat getting it added to my existing account (number) just before it expired.

@G-rig: Couldn't agree more. I have been with Boost for over 3 years now and couldn't be happier with the service. I even managed to convince most of my family to switch to Boost too :)

            • @G-rig: Hi Mate, do you get the bonus data if we recharge with boost. I contacted boost chat and they said I'll get the 100gb for the $200 recharge and not the 140 gb as with their new $200 recharge.

              • @Navigator87: no idea sorry, don't know if i got bonus last time, but they had a good promo the first time i signed up (there was also some 25gb bonus after the flood affected areas up in QLD earlier in the year).

Will have to see what the go is next time i need one.

  • Hi OP,

For existing Boost customer, can they use a $2 Vodafone / Optus SIM to port the service over to that network for a day, then port the number back to Boost the next day?

    • Hi, theoretically yes, but it may occur some problems because there is no actual credit in the $2 SIM. According to our experience, it's easier if you port your number to another provider for 30 days, for example, the $14.9 SIM from Lebara or other prepaid 28 days/30days SIM, then port it back to Boost.

  • Is this for new customers only?

    • yes, the SIM card is for new customers only, not for recharge.

    • you can get this and ask customer support to transfer your existing boost number to this new sim

      • Can someone please confirm they were successful with this? im already using the Boost 365 deal and its running out in 10 days so perfect timing!

        • I'd also like to hear someones success with this

        • Yes I was able to last time, jump on the chat

        • Mine runs out in about 2 weeks too.
I just bought the $10 - 30day Lebara SIM, within 10mins my new SIM was activated and I was on the Lebara plan.

I purchased the Boost $300 (228.50 -on eBay and they gave me $10 off… So essentially the Lebara card was free) on June 17th and received it today - so within 7days.

I will be attempting to port my number and activate the new boost SIM in about a week (before 4th July). I remember last time I just recharged with boost, they gave me issues about being an existing customer, but hopefully this time, with the Lebara switchover, it should be fine.

Interested to hear other people's experiences

          • @egginthesky: Hi, we suggest you activate your Boost $300 SIM on 5 July. The current Boost 300 plan is 260GB which expires on 4 July, and we just received their new poster, Boost 300 will be 280GB from 5 July.

            • @Lucky Mobile: Hi LuckyMobile,

Anything on the posters about what the Boost 200 will be?

              Cheers,

              JohnnyO

  • Hey @luckymobile, lebara has a $10 30day deal on at the moment. Would you guys be willing to bundle the $300 boost and $10 lebara sim at all?

    • Hi there, we sell the Lebara $14.90SIM 30 days plan for only $6.50 on our website. You can place an order for both boost and Lebara SIM at our website. Thanks.

  • Is Telstra plus can be used with this boost sim?

  • Can't purchase without paypal account. You will be forced to sign up in-order to pay. No guest payment allowed

    • Hi there, you can text your order to 0422970678 and we will send our bank details to you so you can do the bank transfer. Or we can send our ebay link to you so you can place your order on ebay. Thanks.

  • anyone purchased this did it work , how was the delivery ,just placed an order for boost sim to be delivered to victoria
normal postal mail any idea how long will that take

    • mine took around 7 days to NSW

  • Just received mine. took 7 days to arrive to VIC.
Interested to hear others experience - did you receive your sim card packaging intact or was the perforation torn/tampered with?
@luckymobile is there a reason why the top perforation on my package is torn? I don't think that's supposed to happen? (have also emailed Luckymobile- will update here)

  • Hi there, we sell the SIMs in our shop which is located in Adelaide CBD as well. There is a small chance that the customer wanted to buy the SIM and asked us to activate it, but changed his mind when we just tore the top perforation of the SIM package. And we accidentally posted that SIM to you. In the pic you sent to us, the bottom perforation is torn a little bit as well, but I just checked our dispatch pic, the bottom part is completely sealed. I will send the pic to you. Please check whether the envelope is sealed. We checked your SIM serial number, it's still good to use. Will follow up with you.

    • Good customer service! Thanks for the quick response via text. Unfortunately telstra shop do not sell boost mobile and are unable to assist. I've taken your suggestion and activated the sim and contacted boost mobile to report it lost so they can resend a new one. It's quicker than sending this back to you and having you replace it.

  • Thank you and thanks for shopping with us. Any questions please let us know. Cheers.

  • i dont understand why you have 2 listings of the $200 boost sim kit, one for $152.50 and the other $152.95… of course I ordered the $152.95…

  • We are now past 4th July. Did anyone activate the sim after 4th July? If yes, how much data did you get?

    • I think the Boost websit has been updated, see the link below:
      https://boost.com.au/products/200-prepaid-sim

So the 140GB data allowance will stay until 26 Sept 2022.

The question is what is the starter kit's expiry date?

      • The expiry date of our Boost $200 SIM is 31/08/2023.

  • My current Lebara prepaid expires next week. I've been with Lebara for years and happy with them. I'm open to switching though and the $200 Boost pack looks really enticing.

Is there anything I should be aware of? I'm a relatively light user in terms of data and voice.

    Edit: Bought. Think later.

  • can I switch from telstra to boost? will there be any issues
