  • This watch would be good for people with skinny wrists. One review says it's smaller than the 40mm stated on Amazon, but the measurement is probably taken from left to right so the crown guard is included in that size.

the watch is tiny. the website advertises it as 40mm, however it is only 37mm (verified by Timex Website also).

Not sure what website the reviewer looked at because I checked & it says 39mm & 40mm.

    Ugly

      Maybe consider this instead.

did you just search "ugly watches" haha

      • I rather that one honestly

        • +3

Not many watches get posted for people with skinny wrists so hopefully this post helps someone out.

Its a field watch/infantry watch. They all look like this - simple clean design & large numerals.

ugh.. i don't need it. bought anyway

  • indiglooooo!
    but,

    Case material: Brass

    • Is brass bad because they’re the offensively loud tickers or other reason?

      • my main concern is corrosion resistance. i might be wrong on that so happy to be corrected by metallurgy experts

        • one of the reviews complains about corrosion, but of the metal that the brass is plated with, not the brass itself. it was also after several years of use, it's only a 40 dollar watch.

      • +2

after having received it, it is actually rather loud (for a watch). i left it across my room and was just able to hear it while lying in bed, but it wasn't annoying. if you don't like being able to hear the ticking, this watch is not for you. if there is any other ambient noise such as a heater, TV, radio etc then you will not be able to hear the ticking.

    • Yeah but $42.92 delivered. When compared to this popular deal for an all plastic Casio including the lens for $36.75 + del if you don't have prime, which one would you buy?

Would probably look heaps better on a nato strap too.

      • both are good deals but i'm not 100% in on either of them so i'd skip both and wait for something i really want ;)

      • can you recommend any stainless steel or better watches with the same style as this timex? i have looked at bertucci and hamilton but i'm wondering if there are any other options worth looking at.

    • +1

it's also worth noting that the back is stainless steel, i originally thought it was going to be all brass but it's got "stainless steel back" stamped on the back.

  • Price has dropped to $33.01 + $5.99 Delivery ($0 with Prime & $39 Spend).
