  • Does it support 4k @ 60hz external monitors?

    • +2

      In tech specs:

      Ports1
      1 x USB 2.0
      1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Always On)
      1 x USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 (support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort™ 1.2)
      1 x HDMI 1.4b
      Optional: 1x Ethernet (RJ-45)
      1 x Headphone / mic

Looks like it with DisplayPort 1.2, up to 75Hz at 4k.

    • +1

100% on DP(through USB C). Not likely on HDMI

  • Thank you TA, looks like 10% with CR too.

Two questions; does this one have the optional ethernet?

What's the internal upgradability like? Is there a spare m.2 for installing a WWAN module?

    • +2

No the E and T series do not include a separate ethernet port.

They do or did come with a Ethernet-to-USB but the connector on the laptop side was proprietary and S or L shaped.

      • The E15s Gen2 had inbuilt Ethernet? Mine does anyway… although it’s one of the fold down ones and the cable always gets stuck.

    • It has optional Ethernet and quite likely one spare m2 port

Hi Guys, Is the USB C port used for charging? Or is there a possibility to add 2 monitors (HDMI and USB C)?

    • USB C port is used for charging as well. If monitor supports usb-c charging then its fine, you can hook up another monitor connected to usb-c port.

      • Or you can use USB C dock for charging and display connection

Really keen on this unit now given a bigger screen. Going thru the checkout I get $1188 using the coupon. Given 10% CR cashback - I estimate $108 Cahsback (adjusting for the GST) making it $1080 - am I right in my caclulations? Not going for any extras here.

    • 118.80 cash back confirmation

  • Wish it is 2k display

  • Has the same 45Wh Battery as the 14 inch one. So expect less run time on Battery for this one? Does anybody know how long the Battery lasts for a typical days use? Mostly browsing, videos, development

The deals keep coming from our Tightarse.

      Not so tight after all.

        Loosearse?

  • Still trying to secure my purchase of the one from last week.
Lenovo want me to contact my bank to get a 6 digit authorisation code on the transaction, spent 45mins on hold with commbank and gave up.
Anyone else run into this with Lenovo? 25 years of shopping online ive never seen this.

    • It would likely be the card security stuff that comes up when you try and make your purchase, you would have received a message or notification on the app depending on your setup. Usually get asked for larger purchases.

    • I had it once with Lenovo when I used my business credit card. I called Lenovo and had them charge my personal card instead.

Heads up for those looking to purchase Lenovo products via PayPal (for extra protection), this is not an option even though advertised. I rang Lenovo regarding this, and the tech stated they were blacklisted from PayPal (wouldn't state why). They encourage me to only pay via bank deposit (do not do this). Not sure what is going on, but clearly PayPal wouldn't end a relationship that is more money for them, unless Lenovo have been doing the wrong thing.

  • I did not get the Lenovo Rewards points. When I spoke to Lenovo support they said you don’t gets the points if you purchase this through Cashrewards. I went ahead and placed the order through Cashrewards but can someone confirm that this is correct?

    • +1

Totally separate to Cashrewards. You sign up for Lenovo rewards at checkout, then you’re credited them upon shipping.

      • I didn’t realise that. Is there a way to get the points added to the order now that I have placed it or what would you recommend I do?

    • can u actually give a reason why E series is so bad?

    • Hi, Do you have a link to the item on ebay??

    • Where can we purchase a similar or the same deal?

Going by completed sales on eBay, the next cheapest x390 was $575, and then $600. Looks like you got a good deal on used laptop, but that isn't available to the majority of people.

    • Used laptop

    • Why hide the store?

    • +3

My skoda is the same as a golf r.

      Same amount of cylinders
      Same amount of seats
      Much lighter

You thundercats won't even need 90% of the golf r power considering the speed limit on the roads.

  • It’s a used one (Refurbished) in your link, this is a new one. Why do you compare a used one with a brand new laptop?

    • -1

battery count is 4, the x390 I got is practically brand new

  • Whats the difference between this and Slim 7 Carbon ?

  • -1

i would pay $200 extra for a 2" screen with these.

  • These could have been better with todays cw 14% or 16% max

  • I don't get why the batteries are so small these days 45W? is it because the processors draw so much less power now?

    I have a T series with 65W removable batteries…

14" Intel version now available for those subscribed to this thread :)
