      I too would pick the Ryzen version unless Thunderbolt and/or DisplayPort 1.4 out is a priority.

      Hopefully one day there's a Ryzen 6XXX/USB4 version and then the Ryzen version becomes a clear winner with significantly better iGPU and USB4 effectively incorporates Thunderbolt 3.

          I believe you can order a T14 with a 6650u or 6850u now, if 5 weeks wait and max 16GB soldered ram is OK.

          Everything else seems well behind schedule.

      That's what happens whenever TA posts something, Oh look it is TA, better upvote it before doing any comparison as what is a good deal. Don't get me wrong, TA posts some ripper deals but reality is that due to this fact, it can attract more positive votes than if someone else was to post the same deal (not that they could).

        Surely you use your own discretion on these deals. I’d rather have the deals than not posted. If people are dropping a grand on a laptop because of a high upvote count - then that’s their problem. Id think some basic research is needed prior to dropping four figures.

      Not necessary, the new 12th gen -u series have quite the better multicore performance than equiv. amd chips this gen thanks to the new P&E core architecture

      Yes, as the other commenter have linked, igpu wise the radeon is better than intel xe, but not everyone games on these and if your workload is more cpu intensive you will appreciate what the intel 12th gen can bring.

    I have the E15 5700U version of this laptop from a few weeks ago. Really happy with it, the build quality is amazing for the price, and I cannot fault the performance at all. Works great for TAFE and light gaming. USB C charging is a nice touch.

        Yes, but keep in mind that Ryzen version is limited to DisplayPort 1.2 (which for two monitors means a max of 1920*1080 @ 60Hz) whereas the Intel version has Thunderbolt 4 (so can support 2 * 4k @ 60Hz).

          Just looking for 1080 resolution so dp1.2 works for me. Need a dual screen home set-up to match office now I'm used to it! Wonder why ryzen is so far behind the curve for dual screen output vs intel? Then again, AMD is vaporware until I see an actually purchasable 6800u laptop, ideally with 2 ssd spaces, and non soldered ram!

            @seraphim2017: It's not Ryzen as such, it's just the implementation in the Thinkpad E series. For example, the Thinkbook and Thinkpad T series (with 5xxx Ryzen processors) support DP 1.4.

            For DisplayPort 1.4, you can output to 3840 x 2160 / 60 Hz display, two 3840 x 2160 / 30 Hz displays, two 2560 x 1440 / 60 Hz or three 1920 x 1080 / 60 Hz displays. If your system supports DisplayPort 1.2, the dock supports one 3840 x 2160 / 30 Hz display or two 1920 x 1080 / 60 Hz displays.

    For working laptop or school laptop , intel 12 GEN is better choice over AMD .

      my desktops are intel because of the inbuilt graphics that intel has as far back as i can remember unless you buy a gpu less chip specifically , and 1 tend to also buy intel laptops …. ford vs holden.

      not sure why negativity, the deal is for an intel 12 the gen , if you like amd buy amd ….

    My wife wants to use DaVinci Resolve for youtube video editing on this. She is currently using an underpowered Ideapad C340-14IWL model 81N4 and struggling somewhat.

    We dont want to spend much over a grand given the lifespan of lappys.

    Guessing AMD igpu will give her the edge over the intel. Thoughts?

      I have read Intel igpu is actually good for davinci, search some YouTube videos on this. Unless the amd is rdna2 from ryzen 6000 series

      Not more than a few hours. If it hasn't tracked, you possibly clicked away to other sites, had additional tabs open, or perhaps had Honey/AdBlock/Brave etc installed. Unless you want to cancel your order, you'll need to lodge a claim after 7 days and wait on Lenovo's findings via their attribution analytics. Thanks.
