Good deal, prices range from $287 up to near $400 most other places plus shipping on staticice.

    • Agreed. Impressive Price with Delivery.

  • If price wasn't a consideration, which one would you pick from this one and the Crucial M4 256 GB ?

    • +3

      Crucial M4

      • You would choose an older Marvell controller over the more recent sandforce? I would be going with Sandforce over Marvell any day of the week.

        • newer mean better? any result/review? :-)

    • this is exactly what i want to ask.
      and reasons?

      • +2

Crucial is one of the most reliable brands(Just behind of Intel)

But honestly, there isn't but difference these days with firmware updates

    • This one, Crucial M4 is lacking significantly in terms of write speed. Pretty much exactly half the speed of this drive. (Provided of course that you have SATA III)

However, you can get the exact same specs as this drive for cheaper at MSY. Downside is that you have to go there and pick up the Sandisk SSD G25 Extreme ($248).

im not tech saavy with SSD's - can anyone tell me if the 120GB version at $149 is cheap?

    • You can get it for $139 elseware(You should have a UMART near you)

Post it here rep, you might just find a few more takers! ;)

        • +1

          Agreed!! Post it here =)

      • +4

Yep, agreed, why not modify this deal to cover both if you can do a good deal on the 120GB as well.

        • ^^^That…right there! :)

      • Hi Rep,
I am also thinking to upgrade my old x61s thinkpad. As it is SATA 1. Thinking to get a smaller 60GB Intel 330 series SSD.
Can I have a good price for that please?

        • +5

          Hi Gagans,

we can do Special for $89 Free Shipping for 60GB Intel 330 series

        • Thanks Rep. You matched the price as in ARC computers :).

          Hi Rep,
How to proceed with the order for 60GB ssd?

      • Hi OLC,
whats the best price you can do?
have u got an email address or something i can email you on? cheers

      • I want to buy 2 of 120GB version.
        How much is it?

        • +5

          2x 120GB = 240GB :p

        • send email to [email protected] (store pick-up or delivery)

    • Why get it over Sandisk Extreme (which is at a lower price)?

BTW, what's between (older) SDSSDX-120G-G25 and (newer) SDSSDX-120G-Q25?

      • Not sure about your second question. As for your first question, I think it's slightly (5MBps) faster read speed than the Sandisk. http://www.geckoandfly.com/10079/corsair-ocz-mushkin-kingsto…

        • OK. Once you got a SSD, slight differences are irrelevant - everyone's a winner.
Anyway, for what it's worth: http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/storage/36529-sandisk-extreme-… says Sandisk's slightly faster.

        • +1

Sandisk is a new player, Corsair is a proven horse.

        • Sandisk is a new player

I think Sandisk's been in flash memory business for a (relatively) long time. Their SSDs result from acquisition of Pliant which is again a (relatively) long time player.
I think it's Corsair who are the new players on the flash memory game.

        • Yeah basically these drives have the exact same specs and it's just luck of the draw to see who gets the 1% faster drive speed for their test. Only thing that sets them apart would be reliability. I don't know enough about these drives to comment on that.

  • good pricing but not good enough! (not $1/GB yet or less) :-(
should do special on the 120GB!!

240GB is for more hungry person(to eat? :-P)

    I want $199 for Crucial 256gb again.

    • Same here. Although I can't understand why the Sandisk Ultra only costs $3 less than the Extreme version when it's twice as slow. If that was on sale for $199 I'd snap it up over the M4.
