      Despite the warnings I went with G2A and bought the 100TL + 75TL bundle for $17.51 AU and got the Netflix codes immediately and they worked to reopen my Netflix account - giving me until 1 September. Works out to about $8 per month so happy with that. Will watch out for scam emails.

    if anyone having issue with adding card to Netflix i did it, definitely the easiest method is buying a gift card. Gift cards will never ask you for mobile number so i just got a 75tl card from mtc game to start me off, once you do that go on live chat as others have pointed out and hopefully you get a person who knows what their doing so they can open the widget, took me only 2 tries luckily to find someone competent. im still having trouble with Disney plus sadly but having youtube premium and Netflix for $5 a month is great value so im not to disappointed, I did accidentally find out that if you subscribe to Disney plus, and hop on a live chat saying you like a cancellation and refund they will grant you one, atleast thats what happened to me so i was able to change my card through that method, but my account says google play purchases aren't supposed in your country so i don't know what im doing wrong as i have a turkey google play account

    I'm online. Followed the process outlined earlier.

    • Cancelled current Netflix with my debit card still on system
    • Waited for membership to expire
    • Purchased a g2a 100TL Turkey card
    • Applied Turkish card while on windscripe VPN (Turkey)
    • Connected once to Turkey Netflix and signed out and disabled VPN
    • All content seems to be Australian library now in 4 devices

    It states it's ready to take out, 77TL fee next month via my registered Westpac debit MasterCard once the gift card ends

    Finally got this to work, sharing my experience which may help others.

    1. Bought 100TL Netflix gift card from Turgame, code arrived after about 30mins.
    2. I logged into Windscribe VPN and tried adding my gift card whilst my account was still active, got an error message that "this gift card does not match your country".
    3. Waited for account to be inactive (1st July), 2 days after my billing date ended (29th June).
    4. Logged into VPN again, incognito and got the same error message when I redeemed via https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/redeem
    5. Had to sign into my account first and add gift card from my profile. Success this time.
    6. However, despite making sure that I have an active AU mobile number and credit card on system before my account expired, my card as backup payment method went missing.
    7. Tried adding myself and got prompted for a Turkish +90 mobile number for verification.
    8. Started live chat, I was less direct with the first agent and said I was having issue adding my card, she just re-sent a link via email for me to add my card. This method again prompted for a Turkish number.
    9. Quit and started another live chat, this time I said I wanted to manually add a card to my account. Managed to enter my card via a pop up secure link this 2nd agent sent to me. I used Revolut VISA card which worked.

    Hopefully I am all sorted until this VISA card expires in 2024.

    Okay going to try this, I do not have a revlot card, just normal NAB, Macquarie and a coles mastercard, will any of these work/is there a better one to use, less international transaction fees etc.

      You could join netflix Australia on basic plan, add a card (28 degrees, Bankwest etc with no international fees).
      Add and verify a phone number.
      Then a day or so later, cancel netflix and ask for refund via chat line.
      Start a VPN.
      Then buy a 70 TL netflix gift card.
      Start Turkish netflix.
      Pay with the gift card.
      Presto! All done.

        I'd understand an error being thrown if I tried to subscribe to an active, or pending cancellation, account.

          No, it allows you to log in while on the vpn to resub with thr current vpn location, otherwise it says you have a pw error

          Luke, you have to turn off VPN to log in first (otherwise you get a password error), then turn on VPN when you're doing the sub. Hope this helps!

            1) sign in to expired account in incognito.(with out VPN) (keep window open)
            2) turn on VPN (used ZENmate VPN-7 days trial. Sign up with temp Email: no payment needed).
            3) go to https://www.netflix.com/au/redeem (in incognito)(and enter Turkish Gift card number) (thanks to " firestint")

            Boom!! all done and working.

    Wouldn't accept a Up, NAB or CRO card anymore. CRO used to prompt fot a OTP on a TR number but even that disappeared. Idk if once the month is up with will debit from the card on the account with initially wouldn't work. Had a 5sim number but option is now gone from Netflix to add the CRO card

    FYI. Netflix has been cracking down on this HARD !
    Netflix via Turkey currently works in Australia, but I have been recently traveling to Asia (India) and on trying to use my account, I get an error:

    Your account can't be used in this location

    On speaking to customer care via chat, they refused to help.
    This issue seems to be happening for other Asian countries as well, So hopefully doesn't happen to Australia soon.

    I was able to work around it using a VPN and connect to Turkey when traveling, but it needs VPN to be constantly connected.

    So I ran into an issue trying to use Netflix (I'm subscribed through Turkey)

    I then reached out to chat and got this generic response:

    Due to new policy implementation of several countries which restricts us from using accounts outside the country and vice versa - the Netflix account can only be use for streaming on the country where it was originally created.

    It also seems that there is no way for them to remove geo-blocking from an account. Apparently, Netflix introduced this policy last year. I haven't had this issue before. My card expired in June, so I turned on my vpn and tried to add the new Macquarie card that arrived. I believe I tried it a few too many times but it still didnt work. So I bought Turkish gc and added to my account and then went on chat to get a secure form. I still was unable to add my debit card. Currently the account is still active till end of July on Turkish gc. Don't why there's geo-blocking.

    Has anyone else come across this? I guess one work around is to use a VPN but I don't want to do that given its too slow.

      Try both codes, one with letters and one with numbers.
      I think the letters one works.

      From memory, you need to be logged in to Netflix with no VPN, then turn VPN on, then apply the gift card and it works.

      if you running out of option then top of the account with Turkish netflix gift card. Eventually it will work out as around $7.55 for premium plan..(10*$9.46(AUD)=$94.6,it would be around for 12.5 months).It is still a great deal compare to AUS plans.

    Hi All, not sure why this expired…this one is still active. I just topped up as the conversion rate is really good for the giftcard via MTCGAME, 100TL for $USD6.61, AUD$9,81 (ING Visa card). And the best part is, i didn't even have to connect to VPN to buy the gift card and top up! So as long as you top up before the expiry date, you don't seem to need VPN anymore. Hope this helps everyone. I'm good till May, 2023 now

    so heres what i did.

    sign up to oz with cc and otp verified for number.
    cancel and ask for refund.
    restart member with cc and number on file.
    payment could not go through with cc on file.
    buy tur giftcard and restart membership. (never asked for otp for number)
    membership started.
    number and card still on file.
    went to live chat and ask to change card details (because card details could not proceed in the above).
    tried 3 different card via the chat they provided but all 3 cards could not proceed and they say authorisation limit reached.
    account is paid until 7 sep via gc and will charge to backup payment method on file (which is the original card from the start).

    my question is, did i do anything wrong here? will the card be card accordingly or will it be decline comes 7 sep? im very confused here.

        I successfully added my gift card by:

        1. Going incognito, then logging into netflix australia. You will be prompted to renew, follow the steps until you get to the screen where you can input your gift card.
        2. Now, turn on your vpn and switch to Istanbul.
        3. Once VPN is activated, simply enter your Gift card code and press next.
        4. It should automatically realize that you're now in Istanbul and whilst it is attempting to redeem it will change the price from AUD to TL.
        5. Then success. That's how I did it.

        Lmk if that works.

I was nice to the online chat agent and no problems. Agent opened up a credit card form within the chat windows. After filling in details and within 15 seconds I received a 1 yes/2 no SMS from 28degrees. Was very quick and easy.
