Original Coupon Deal

Only a few dollars more than it was previously, technically my first post, but if there's a better deal for another RTX 3060 or anything else go for it, otherwise enjoy if you were after one.

*Being marked as a duplicate, but it's flagging Ryzen 5000 series processors? So not sure what's going on there. Obviously its a duplicate coupon

3060 is not worth the extra price over the 6600XT at around $400.

I mean if you seriously choose 3060 over 6600xt for that reason, by the time you get the profit to close the price gap there will be bunch of better gpus already.

        $1 vs 69c/day

If you actually believe eth is going to go back up. Then just buy eth

    • What about the drivers ? I have an impression that GeForce Experience software is made much better compare with ATI

      • 10 years ago yes, not so much now.

I think it's a fair point that at 1080p, for purely rasterisation only and especially for specific games where it performs better than the 3060, the 6600 XT at 25-35% less is much better value.

However at 1440p or 4K, for systems that aren't running PCIe 4.0 or above, if you have a use for an Nvidia specific technology (nvenc, g-sync, dlss, sponsored ray tracing game), the 3060 may be worth the premium.

I think if the 3060 was $450 vs the 6600 XT at $400, the 3060 would be the obvious choice, but above that it's harder to justify a higher premium if you don't have a specific use case.

Mine would be high end emulation and high quality texture packs so I want more VRAM.

      • I wouldn't pay $150 for GeForce Experience.

I have just realised from some comments why 3060 is about 60% more expensive than 6600XT, It's mostly tied to the mining revenue which doesn't take the cost of power into account.
So in real life if you pay 27c per KW/hour of power:
3060 is about 13 cents per day profit - 4170 days for return on investment (542.10 / 0.13).
6600XT is about 21 cents per day profit - 1904 days for return on investment (400 / 0.21).
If I was silly enough to buy a card only for mining, surely the AMD card in this case would be more profitable but still take 1904 days to pay itself off.

Personally, I wouldn't bother in the current conditions, if you really wanted to get into crypto, then just buy it and hope it goes up in value then sell it just like any other share/investment without burning precious electricity and releasing carbon for 2000 days just to break even.

Bad thing for your wallet too for the foreseeable future

honestly, i rather waste money on a crypto card than have my inlaws from China living in australia and paying for them. So thats what I'm going to do.. haha

    • 3060 actually more profitable currently if that's your thing
