    I went and bought the $219 Oricom 5W UHF with bonus pair of Oricom 1W handhelds. Pretty good deal in my books compared to ebay prices.

    Any ideas if the multipurpose rope is layered/woven nylon/poly mix or just plain poly?

        Or could be the fact that pure poly rope tends to melt underload and drop/kill people when you're using it…

          well you can just practice your skills on skinnier victims
          never heard of situations where someone can melt the rope with their weight. i guess some ppl do consider the "heavier" types as "hot" fetishes

          It's not the weight of the person, its the friction from the rope moving against itself (i.e. when knotted or using for tie-downs).
          It takes very little weight to melt through them and only requires 15-20s of persistent friction.
