An all-metric automotive toolkit? Yes please.
Not as cheap as previous deals at ~$94, but it hasn't been that price since maybe 2020?

  • Must be inflation. I bought mine on sale from nearly 4 years ago for like $89.

    • price of coal and fuel is up so to make steel and ship steel is up, etc ….. and haven’t seen the breville dual boiler coffee machine as cheap as it was 4 years ago ….. only thing that still seems to be cheap are mobile phones and kmart t-shirts…..so yeah expect a lot of things aren’t going to be as cheap as they were 4 years ago ….

it’s sad when milk is cheaper than petrol …..

These kits should come standard with 2 or 3 spare 10mm sockets.

In fairness, it does have 3 10mm sockets already… 😂

      • And a 10mm combo spanner

Half of the tools in that kit are imperial, most people (not all) would rarely work on anything with imperial fasteners.

Yep, the 87pce is one of the few, if not the only, well-equipped metric-only toolkits. A big plus for me, I don't want the imperial waste.

The pliers in the 198pce are a nice addition though.

I've had one of these kits for a couple years and have found it pretty good quality and has a good selection of spanners, sockets and driver bits to handle most diy tasks. The screwdriver has a 1/4 Inch socket adaptor on the end so that you can connect the wrench to in order to get some leverage which I've found really useful when trying to remove frozen screws.

  • Are they cr-v or hss? thanks

    • +1

      They are Cr-V.

I think the Daytona 179pc is the best Metric only set going around. But it is $250 (seen it on sale here before but not for a while).

    • Fair call, I've not seen that option before. In a higher price bracket though.
