Ex-Lease Apple iMac A1225 All-in-One Desktop PC with Keyboard and Mouse $780 + Delivery

32

Not a bad deal for a 24 inch iMac.
Slight downside is that it is an ex-lease.

Thoughts?

ex-leases are worst than refurbished. its doesnt even have an i series cpu

  • A1225 isn't helpful, but judging by the specs it's probably a MB325LL/A Early 2008 model with the ram bumped to 4GB from the standard 2GB.

    • Yeah I was trying to find a bit more about it but couldn't.

Slow slow slow. Everytime I use my gf's one, I feel like tearing my hair out. Whatever OS it has (Lion?), it feels like Windows Me.

  • I suppose iMacs can now be considered PCs as they are now intel based.

Woah… for a second there I thought that you had written that you wanted a 2.7" and I was about to brag about 5". Phail on my part.

      Sorry for going off topic.

    • in your mouth :P

  • c2d. These are slow. Sluggish wen I first used it in 2008. Nice sceen but for $780 it's too much for a c2d.

Only benefit may be the 30 day warranty but really you can pick these 24" up for $700 on Gumtree all the time so the price is probably spot on.

A far better choice would be a brand new Mac mini (2.3ghz i5 500gb/2gb at $699 or cheaper if re-furb), pickup an Apple Keyboard ($55) and Magic Touch Pad ($75), whack a cheap 24" Monitor (from $175 if you look) and you have an awesome machine.

  • how is better than hp I7 core new lappy for around same price?? people just go nuts when its an apple. don't matter how old it is.
