    This is cool!
Got my 6600xt from PLE unfortunately, but great little bonus for those who bought from these stores after may 10.

Wow all those that got the rx6600 yesterday effectively got their card for $150
    This is a fantastic incentive.
Forspoken is on my list to purchase. This would have been a nice bonus

  • Now waiting for a great deal on 6900XT or 6800XT from Umart.

  • Pathetic by AMD. This is the response to no demand? Drop the prices!

    • Disagree I think this is a great way to boost sales.

      • When demand drops that's a signal to them to drop prices. Not for them to try everything else! If this doesn't work next gimmick to try will be new cabbage dog rgb.

Free games sure I'll appreciate that over nothing. But it's more the state of the gpu market since June 12th. Lot has changed and hopefully this isn't their response to that (trying to dodge price falls with bloatware).

But they are not trying everything. This has been a strategy since i was a teenager buying the voodoo 3d gfx card in the 90's

          • @maverickjohn: Hmmm we'll have to see what else they try first and if the behaviour is to delay price falls

They could very well "try everything". Hopefully they don't stuff consumers around with this type of stuff and instead just lower prices to reflect current demand. I mean who wants meh games lol just drop the card another $20

  • Come on PC Case Gear!

I want my 'PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 XT Red Devil' and the games!!!

  • I think PLE is also one of retailers offer those bonus? https://www.ple.com.au/AMD/Raisethegame-6000Series

    • It's not on AMD website hence why not included. But good to know

      • yeh grunken gave me this tip above and i've claimed saints row and forspoken for the 6600xt i ordered last month.
feeling better about the card dropping $100 in the following weeks :)

      • was on the redemption website today

  • Anyone know how long it took it get the code?

    • about 2 minutes after redemtion, I did have to make an account with amd to claim

  • +1

Surprisingly, it seems like AMD Rewards gives rewards based on the GPU detected via their hardware detection software. So if you can temporarily borrow a higher model GPU, you would get all credits (games) up to that tier.

    • but I think it cross checks against the redemption code and supplier that must match the unit purchased perhaps?

      • +1

I doubt they would allocate resources for that, sounds like administration hell on the side of AMD and retailers. They might have a software check based on the MAC address, to prevent a card from being redeemed twice. Though, I doubt it.

I think they just generate a batch of code and provide them to selected retailers and do no cross-checking at all. The program simply gave me all three credits when I applied a "RX 6600 code" whilst i had a RX6800 plugged into the system. Easy peasy.
