      All part numbers ending in "A3K5" are retail kits. OEM kits have part numbers ending in "A310"

    Sandisk Extreme is the one to get, if you're after decent speed. Not sure about reliability though.

      Just picked up the Sandisk Extreme the other day - I think you recommended it in another thread.

      I've never had an SSD drive before but I'm currently loving it. So +1 for Extreme!!

    To be fair ive been using my vertex 2 since they've been around and haven't had any issues.

    They also own indilinx now don't they? Since they now have first party control over the controllers/firmware presumably reliability should improve or at least fixes should be delivered quickly.

    My Vertex 2 died exactly 7 days before its' anniversary. It was brilliant while it was working. PC would start booting then reboot. On reboot the drive is no longer there.

  I have noticed that Sandisk offer 2 different SKU's for the same drive:

  SDSSDX-120G-G25
  SDSSDX-120G-Q25

  SDSSDX-240G-G25
  SDSSDX-240G-Q25

  It looks like the Q25's are replacing the G25's. Shopping express seem to be offering the G25's. Anyone know the difference?

    Did a quick google search. It seems that all shops selling Q25 are located in Australia.
    So, I guess Q25 is the australian version of G25.

    I also would like to know the answer if somebody knows.
