Does it make a difference which code you use? Why are there two?

Edit: you need to use both to get full discount

  • I”m interested in the AW3423DW and the price looks really good! Is this the cheapest it’s ever been?

    • +1

Couple weeks after launch people got lucky with 1,495 i think

      • +2

        We sure did :D

They never cancelled those orders despite what some were predicting.

    • +2

it's got the samsung model to comepete with in july

and MSI has one as well coming july

likely to be cheaper as they wont have a gsynch module, which isn't needed with QDOLED

    • if you signed up for the dell amex offer, and have the 7% EPP code rather than the 5% code above, it'll be $1543.30

  • +1

Damn I thought the 2K variant was going to be on sale for a sec.

    • +1

Same. I've been holding out for a good deal on the S2721D.

      • +9

4K is definitely worth it. I thought it was marketing hype but once you get used to it… there’s no turning back

        • +7

its common sense, PPI and the eye can tell the difference on a god damn 27 inch monitor, on a phone sure you cant tell the difference between a samsung 2k vs a sony 4k phone screen, but on a monitor you would be classified as legally blind if you cant tell the difference, once you go 4k you cant go back

          • +1

@striker5950: Yeah that's true but the scaling is the issue still for me. I have 2k at home and prefer it for the work i do (design) over the 4k i have at work.

Some programs still aren't scaling well and I find the scaling at 100% perfect for 1440p 27. If only there was a middle ground

        • Totally agree. Got a S2722QC last week and just love it!

        • I've already got a S2721DGF as my main screen for gaming. Looking at getting a second display for work. I'm worried that the differing resolutions would be a bit "janky" when moving windows between them etc. Is this actually the case?

        • Depends on your use case. On Windows you still run into issues with legacy apps so if you're using those a lot you might be better off with a 1440p monitor.

If you're gaming on a mid spec computer, current mid range cards like the 3060 Ti are just on the edge of 60 FPS average so you'll probably find you're having to shell out for the next GPU up. 4K/120 isn't going to be happening in this price range for a while, I reckon. 1440p is again a good middle ground for this.

For movies and stuff, I don't think you can go wrong though.

Ah man, the AW3423DW is tempting… any deals on the AW3821DW?

    • +1

Missed the last deal.. need another one before eofy!

    • $1289 appears to still be current at Dell eBay

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/706826

      • +1

Nah unfortunately it was a limited sale (50 units I think) and it sold out in 6 minutes. I miss the boat :(

    • +3

+1 - waiting for the AW3821DW to be under 1300 again!

  • +2

    Codes worked for me

  • +3

Any 24" monitor with usb c deals possible?

  • Will cashrewards or shopback work with these codes?

    • -2

Nope as both CR and SB have stated that promo codes or voucher codes not listed will not get any cashback tracked

  • Is the ultra wide expensive because it's OLED or is there another feature I'm missing?

    • Because it’s ultra w i d e

    • +7

Is the ultra wide expensive because it's OLED

      Yes

  • Well f….. Just bought 2721DS for 298 :(

    • Cancel the order

      • Already received it in 48 hours. Will check if can return

        • Did you manage to get in touch with Dell for return? Same case as you and not sure if they will charge 15% for restocking + freight cost.

          • @crytotosaurus: nah, didn't even bother, checked that same thing thwy would charge 15% + freight, and decided it was not worth it. This screen is perfect, i was just thinking of making it even better, but i'm happy with what i have

  • +1

You can get more saving by using the 7% student discount code instead of the 5% "BDVULAT5"

Follow the below steps to get the student discount code:

    https://www.dell.com/en-au/lp/student-discount-purchase-prog…

Click "Get Your Coupon" then enter your email (just your personal email, doesn't have to be student email) , then you will receive the 7% discount code within 1 min.

I tried and confirm the code can stack with "EOFY532" "EOFY235" and "EOFY615", but you need to remove the code "BDVULAT5".

    Price come down to:

    Dell S2721QS : $292.02
    AW3423DW: $1,643.30
    AW2721D: $682.62

    • Meh… save $6 on the 2721

      • +1

S2722QC is $392.32 with discount code

      • +4

Alas…You are not a true ozbargainer!

    • +1

OP may get the 2% by promoting this code.

  • +2

but you should know based on past deals

I know the past deals, but I don't know the method :(

    • +3

Mate, if you knew what happened and why, you’d be rofl.

      • +2

Ok now I definitely want to know… haha

  • +2

Dealbot are we ever going to get the S2722QC back at $369 anymore you reckon? Or will it be >=$400 for the foreseeable future?

    • I paid $392 last week with the sale and stacking the student discount. After scouring other posts, the general consensus was that <$400 is unlikely to occur again in the foreseeable future.

      • Agree with this. Fortunately, I got a 10 months used one off Gumtree for $250 last weekend. Look through Gumtree or FB marketplace, lots of deals going on as people are returning to office from WFH so selling off what was bought in a hurry during lockdown. Also, used GPUs are available as crypto has crashed.

    • Back in stock refurbed on dell outlet for $329 if that is of interest to you

  • If I use the 4k one with the samsung g52a one will I notice the difference ;-;

    • Yes, different panels and electronics which result in different colour, brightness etc.

  • +3

Got the Dell 27 4K UHD Monitor - S2721QS last time and can vouch for it.

It is, excuse me.. A DAMN fine monitor..

Thanks as always for helping me scrounge a good bargain dealbot.

  • Is the AW2721D any good? I have a Dell DGF and I'm pushing 200+ for the games I play so considering getting a 240Hz 1440p monitor. Happy to be guided by the OZB elites.

    • +1

Its amazing, I bought it almost a year ago on another dell sale and its such a good all round monitor. Perfect for story games and high fps competitive games

  • Any deal for g3223q?

  • Love your work Dealbot. have bought 3 monitors via your referral links so far.

Any idea if there will be a deal soon on the S2722QC?

    • +2

All depends on stock. I'll keep this in mind for the next deal.

  • Sorry may be a silly question but what sort of cable do we need to connect dell xps to S2721qs?

    • +1

The monitor has display port and hdmi port inputs so you can use a display port cable or a hdmi cable. The monitor comes with a hdmi cable.

If the device you are outputting video from has usb-c/thunderbolt ports you might be able to use a usb-c to hdmi cable or a usb-c to display port cable. This depends if the device supports it though. It's not always the case.

      • Thanks for the input, really appreciate:)

        • No worries.

I just read that it has issues on macs when using a thunderbolt to diplay port cable. It might have been fixed in a firmware update but if anyone is reading this be warned.

          https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s2721qs

        • I use a HDMI to HDMI cable, but gave also used a USB-C to DP cable with no issues

  • Reminder: If you have ad blocker on your phone (if ordering via phone), you will have issues adding items to the cart.

Make sure to take advantage of AMEX Dell 10% cashback.

    • Isn't that expired?

      • it's till june 30

        • I have AMEX and there is no DELL offer..

    • I don't have this AMEX Dell offer. Think it's only for Businesses.

  • +2

Just grabbed S2721QS - Any deals on USB C hubs anyone?

    • +2

I’m also wondering RE a decently priced US -C docking station that has 2x4K output @ 60Hz

      • +1

That's exactly what im after. Haven't got a 2nd 4k monitor yet but would like to future proof. Anybody got any recommendations on where to start in terms of recommended models?

  • what a great deal. Thank you so much for sharing :) the codes worked!

  • +5

Dealbot I would like to thank you for organising these deals. Means a lot to me especially in this economic climate.

Tkdr: would buy dealbot a beer/10

    • +1

      Glad it helped.

      • +2

Dealbot, PLEASE AW3821DW $1289 deal before EOFYS

  • I have a S2722QC. Are any of these better?

    • +3

      S27221QS does not have USB-C.

  • +1

is the OLED worth if you work 90% and game 10%? So is OLED worth for work?

    • +4

Not this model, the pixel layout for AW3423DW not good for text

    • +2

I'll be using this for work more often than not and won't get it for that reason (sadly)

You'll see red 'fringing' around text. And whilst not a deal-breaker, an IPS screen is better for text.

Would absolutely love another AW3821DW deal!

      • thanks, I'll wait for a AW3821DW deal then!

  • +2

Is there any chance of more AW3821DW stock being added?

    • that would be sweet as

  • Why am I always on this site not needing anything but always browsing then magically I see a deal for alienware products and all of a sudden…. poof where did $700 go?

  • Thank you, brought a S27221QS!

    • +5

Where did you bring it to?

      • bought XD

  • Sigh. Never the U2723QE.

    • I know right… might have to pull the trigger.

  • thanks got one finally!

  • Anyone please help me choose, dual S2721QS setup or S2722qc for my m1 mac mini? Heard that s2721qs got some flickering issues. Cheers.

    • If you want to fully utilise the dell display manager with a Mac you need to use the ultrasharp equivalent. Much more expensive.

On the upside it would be a better display overall.

  • Is S27221QS an overkill as a non gaming monitor

    • +1

dont think that monitor is for gaming at all.

      • -1

        Bought one!

  • I just got the S2721 DGF for $469 which I thought was o.k. It's a very nice monitor.

  • Well there goes $1643.30 ….

  • -4

Waiting for S2722QC to go on sale
