  • Maybe The High Life can work out a good deal with ANZ for the Rewards (non-FF) card?
I am due for a churn.

  • Would I be eligible if I already have a personal card with American Express and am making a new application for my business/company/trust etc?

Hi, if you're the primary cardholder of a personal Amex card, you're not eligible for a business card bonus offer (because with a business Amex, you still have to apply as an individual - you can't apply in the name of a company or trust).

      • Thanks for clarifying.

They're building hotboxes in the Qantas Club lounges as we speak. High Life yo.

If only Qantas was any good any more. I've had more flights cancelled in the last 3 months or delayed by 1-2 hours than you can count on both hands. They've cancelled flights 1 hour before flight time whilst we've been at the airport (happened twice). Service has gone down the tubes. I thought i would never say it (as i'm platinum level) but i'm seriously considering jumping ship to Virgin if it doesn't improve.

    • Platinum with Virgin, used to have status with Qantas. Service and value is much better with Virgin; especially if its your own money being spend on flights (small business or frequent personal traveler).

But the food in the Qantas Domestic Business Lounge is much better if you manage to get to Platinum and only fly to and from airports with a Business Lounge….

For anyone who's applied for this card, do they always check for $75k annual turnover before approval? I have an ABN but I haven't generated much income on it.

    • Amex can be hit and miss. I've seen a few applications in my family go through with no verification whatsoever, and other times they want to see evidence.

      • What proof did they ask for?

  • Any idea if you can put personal expenses onto the card? There is no mention that you can't in the T+C that I can see…

    • You can put personal expenses on it. Amex doesn't impose any restrictions on its cards regarding personal/business expenses.

      • When do we receive 20k bonus points for enrolling in QBR? I can see 160 K points ready to be posted to Qantas in Amex app but no sign of 20k bonus points so far.
