    Excellent! Signed up.
    Cashback has been tracked already.

If they are denying my cashback on 50/20 then I'm going to loose marbles . Moved over 3 services because of the cashback.
This deal will have many unhappy churners…I can see it coming

    • They won't deny Cashback as long as you are still a customer for min 30 days and don't transfer/churn within the notice period. 60 days of free 50/20 isn't a bad deal at all

      • I reckon we can churn on the 31st day as the rate is pro-rata?

        • Where does it say pro-rata?

    • I signed up to the same service, got tracking email for $75 cash back

  • So basically you are getting $60 for free? Assuming you select the cheapest plan @ $50 and cancel after the first month.
I don't think you can sign up, cancel straight away, and expect to get the $110 cashback, that would be a massive loophole and cost them millions.

    • Millions of cashreward users…

    • I don't think you can sign up, cancel straight away, and expect to get the $110 cashback, that would be a massive loophole and cost them millions.

Exetel have a 30 day notice period to cancel, so they lose maybe $70~ with NBN costs if you do that. But the 6 month pricing is quite competitive so I assume most churners would stay with them for at least the 6 months.

  • has anyone signed up for NBN 25 and got tracking from CR? Given the cashback could be paid in abt 90+ days…is there any minimum stay to qualify for that?

  • Just signed up, CR tracked immediately, chose a future date of 29/7, however, this date isn't mentioned anywhere on the order confirmation email, will have to call them to confirm

  • Hmm worried with all these people saying CR tracked immediately / instantly… I signed up for a future date 100/20, no tracking

    • How do you make a claim for cashback/tracking before 7 days? Given this offer only lasts until tomorrow and I may be able to cancel my application and reapply to get it to track if it hasn't worked successfully. I do have a printscreen of CashRewards extension tick and time and date on the website but don't know if that is enough or not :).

      • I've raised a case previously with screenshot that had tick with timestamp as you said, and they still deny the cashback saying that it was rejected by the merchant (BigW)

    • +1

Me too, I signed up yesterday for 100/40 in two weeks, received a invoice for 1 AUD and no tracking

      • +1

        Me too, no tracking

      • I just completely cancelled my connection request, it was for a future date in August anyway. I was quite sure the CR tracking wasn't going to work. Annoying.

  • +1

Exetel runs credit check. Helpful to know for card churners and loan applicants.

  • Can you delay the start to around early August? That's when my $2 telstra NBN finished. Lol.

  • I currently have Optus 5g and no physical NBN connection to the house.

My address has nbn FTTC available and is eligible for a free FTTP upgrade. I was under the impression that I need to choose a minimum of 250mbps plan for a free upgrade to FTTP, however exetel website is giving me the option to choose a 100mbps plan with a free upgrade to FTTP.

Should I give it a crack? Worried with the support from exetel that this will all go pear shaped.

Currently on 5g Optus on the grandfathered unlimited 70/month plan with no major issues.

    • +1

Don't give up on grandfatherered 5g Optus plan. :)

  • Can someone give me their referral code?

I'm only asking because when I click on the refferal links via mobile, it takes me to the Cashrewrads site without giving me a code.

    • +2

If you use a referral code that means you loose $110 cash back. If that's what you wanted?

      • Thanks for letting me know! Cheers!

      • Oh really damn I used what can I do now?

  • +2

Shame you have to deal with the usual Cashrewards up in the air lack of information. Deal says it's for the "$69.95" 100/20 deal, despite that deal being only $68.95. People say it's tracking for the 50/20 plan, but what's to stop them from reneging?

They tell you to read the terms and conditions on the website. For what? For the Exetel deal itself? How about you give us the terms and conditions for the cashback. Can I cancel after 1 month? I know people have mentioned the terms were mentioned in the email after sign-up (you can't), but who receives a contractual agreement after they've signed up?

Complete incompetence. The cashback industry needs to be regulated. I assume they don't even have an AFS Licence.

  • signed up an converted from MATE, all up and running on 50/20. Cashback tracked within minutes

  • Thanks OP. Switched from current provider to Exetel, and up and running in 10 minutes with Cashback tracked. Also was with Exetel a year ago and was happy with their services.

  • Anyone know how far I can future date the connection?

    • +2

I was able to select a month ahead for connection date

  • Seems it’s dropped to $75 cashback now.

    • Same
Clicked through the Cashrewards app which was showing 110, went through the application process and it dropped to 75

  • +1

I refreshed the page & the cashback dropped. Looks like this one is over.

  • Party is over

  • Ppl is cancelling once CR tracked?

    • +2

No, taking advantage of the 6 month discount with Exeter before churning over to whatever ISP has got their own 6 month discount

  • +1

If no cashback comes through I'll just walk elsewhere

  • Stack with a referal code from the Wiki

  • I wonder speeds will start slowing down with all the OzBargain sign ups

  • How long does it take to get the connection? I chose ASAP and placed an order three hours ago. Only received the first confirmation email.

  • For me cashback is showing $75 only not $110, why??

  • Went to sign up for first NBN connection at home.
    It's now $75

Ok, next hurdle, so I have to buy the $130 exetel modem or will the TP Link Archer D7 work with this connection.
I was given the Archer D7 a few years back when we had a Telstra plan, but haven't had anything since NBN came to be the normal

    • What’s the Archer D7 plugged into? Do you have an existing NBN service?

      • No. It would be my first NBN connection

        • Do you know what technology your neighbourhood has? I used my own wifi router (D7 at one stage), and I think the retail provider gave me a NBN modem to plug in to the HFC when we were cut over.

The nbn modem just does the HFC or whatever connection type you get - so in your case you’d plug your Archer D7 into the NBN modem/endpoint. In theory If you sell the house or move out, you leave the NBN stuff behind (and take your Archer D7 with you).

Hope that helps. Make sure you let the ISP know your are a brand new connection and check t&c for connection fees as some are quite high.

          • +1

@WhyAmICommenting: All the various address checkers say it's FTTN and 50/20 max speed

Exetel have no connection charge, but I'll definitely be checking that again.
Ironically, exetel automatically selected the 100 plan, but everything I've seen, said max 50 speed

  • Jesus, this is $75 now? OP said tomorrow?

    • Shows over

    • CR did say tomorrow…. Oh well I guess they went early!

    • Yeah, I was thinking of signing up tomorrow. Didn't think this would happen.

  • +3

Bunch of dumb arses, they ported into my other connection…

  • +2

I thought it was tomorrow as well. Ohh well, $75 is still reasonable but 110 would have been far better.

  • Does anyone have the $110 Cash Reward screenshot, mine did not track and later on if i need submit the case to cash reward, I should need the screenshot?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Thought I'd do it after dinner since the post said expires tomorrow but okay then… (;_; )

    • I mean there’s still $75 cashback, it’s better then $65…..

  • Experience switching not great so far. For some reason certain apps and websites don't seem to be working. Anyone else having any issues?

    • +1

Worst speed internet ever. Was with superloop - no issues . I think they are the same company too. I’m on like 50/20 or higher and I get like 15/3 or something . I did a speed boost and for the first 30 mins I got like 80/50 then it went back to 30/10….. so fking dodgy I tell u. Constant issues with streaming basic things while doing nothing else…..

      • Same here, this is worse than any other I tried so far. Streaming works ok for me, but browsing most website is so slow, keep loading to even browse coles/aldi catalogue

        • I stand corrected. Just realized they actually have that "free" home secure by default that make things very slow (I assume cause it's scanning everything for threat). I cancelled that one, and got a decent speed now. Give it a try if u have that one enabled too

          • @hanofee: I'm pretty sure I did not opt in for this home secure, yet it was activated after checking their website.
I do experience some slow browsing.

After checking: I know I did not tick the box (I took screenshots during signup). So looks like they enable even if you do not tick the box.
So you are correct in: enabled by default (even when you did not opt-in).

  • +1

Signed onto their 50/20 plan only because of the cash back offer and plan to stick around. For a future activation date on 20th.

Click history show: Sun, 3 Jul 2022, 3:19 pm SYD AU - Exetel
Got emailed $1 invoice a little later after. Im sure it was $110 cash back at that time.

The My Rewards tracking page show no trace of tracking or transaction whatsoever till now. It usually happen soon after for all my other purchases.

    Should I be concerned?

    • Same here. Is it going to track or not?

  • +1

Mine tracked instantly $75, I wish the post didn't say until tomorrow or else I would've signed up during my work break. $75 still good I guess.

    • same boat, i signed up yesterday $110 instant track
but did my parents today no tracking im worried now

  • +1

I am still waiting for mine to track from yesterday.

    • +1

I am waiting for mine to track on 2nd July…

  • Dumb question, are we allowed to use one of the referral codes and still get the cashback? Just worried about:

Cashback is ineligible when using codes not listed on Cashrewards.

  • I would pay not to be on Exetel.

  • Showing $65 right now on CR website.

  • +1

Unbelievable this deal gets more traction than a straight out free month or two 😂

    • cuz it's the latest, there aren't any 1-2 free months right now?

      • Ye of little faith, there’s always another

  • Anyone got tracking?

    • Yes

    • +1

Not for me. I placed an order at around 3:15pm when $110 cash back was active. New customer.
Made sure to have only one browser opened clicking from cashrewards website first, turned off VPN, disabled ad blocks and everything. My Amazon small amount purchases all tracked fine but not this.

Activation date is on 20th July. Think I might have to call exetel to cancel the order later as there is really no incentive to switch from my current nbn provider without the cash back. Sight

      • Yeah same, and I have been told claims are not 100% guaranteed its up to the merchant.

        • Happy to report that mine was already approved. My activation date was end of July.

          • @hanofee: Just got mine approved and paid yesterday as well. Happy days.

  • Just churned today and am getting very poor speeds with Nest Wifi mesh. Prioritising device will help but can only do that 1 at a time. Using 'speed boost' days to compensate. I will be leaving Exetel due to this incompatibility with Nest Wifi throttling downloads.

  • +1

Cashback was just approved, that was fast!

Now to wait for the next offer …

    • When did you sign up?
I signed up too late for this offer, but still for the $70 one (on the 19th)

      • +1

        03/07 activated service 24/07

  • Approved and paid $330 for my three services. Fantastic deal. Speed is good. No complaints. Just wished I didn't need to add user id and pw. Otherwise good.
