  • Does this need to be activated within 30 days?

    • +3

30 days 30GB for $1. The voucher expires at 11:59 pm AEST on 30/11/2022.

  • +2

Used to be $4.95 for 40g data per month.

    • Belong used to have a $10 per month plan.

  • +4

This is cold. Use unidays code $1 for 30gb

    • +1

I'm almost 100% sure that deal is already dead since the 30 of June.

Although the OP of that thread keeps editing the code. It was no longer for sale since the end of the financial year.

This can be confirmed by visiting the link on that deal…

      • It still works.

    • +1

Unlike UNiDAYS' $1 deal, you can choose to receive eSIM almost instantly with this one, which is great when you need a service in a hurry.

    • +1

Not sure appropriate use of negative vote, given Unidays is not available to everyone, but this deal is?

      • -1

Unidays can be used by anyone as long as you use code.

        • To be able to get a UNiDAYS account, you must be able to provide us with either an institution portal login, an institution issued personal email address or an institution issued student ID card.

          Doesn't suggest anyone.

          • @Tiggrrrrr: Go on the thread on ozbargain and you’ll find the code. Kogan doesn’t really care as Doesn’t check.

            • +1

@fozzie: Oh. In that case, totally valid.
              Excuse my ignorance.
Purchased a $1 Kogan Sim/Plan I don't need just for the $10 Ikea and JB Hifi vouchers, and UBER/OLA/DIDI referral credit

              • @Tiggrrrrr: No worries, glad worked out for you. Also keep an eye out for amaysim if you just need a spare number to claim offers.

                • @fozzie: Still think it's not fair to give neg to this deal as for people who can not use esim and need/want

data asap ( those who have a spare sim ready ), this works well as many times I have gone

to get the $1 deal it is not up to date and need to wait.

                  • +2

@ozhunter68: I tried to take off and didn’t work

                    • +1

@fozzie: All good. At least you tried and sound thoughtful about it.

  • Is there a credit check upon signing up?

    • It's prepaid so no credit check.

    • +1

They check you have enough credit to pay the $2.90

  • I ordered a SIM over a month ago and haven't received it. So fed up with kogan after their support is just ignoring me. Anyone facing this?

    • +1

The next step would be to threaten to lodge a complaint with the TIO. If this gets you nowhere then here is the link.

It takes 5 minutes, ends up costing them money & they are forced to contact you to resolve the problem.

    • +1

No, I've never had any issue getting SIMs or services activated.

    • +1

Have you contacted them via the online form? Or via phone (1300 056 426)?

      I found phone was best.
Online form takes a while from them to get back to you and then another 3-4 exchanges before you even get to the start point.

  • +1

Kogan is the best sim to use, for switching back to my Boost Sim as a new customer. 😋

  • Only 4G? 7G is where it's at these days

  • +1

"Lightning Fast" ha. ha. (laughs in non-metro)

    • Vodafone spends bugger all on spectrum in regional so speeds of 2 or so megabits down is the norm

      Still a good deal but

  • Might be worth mentioning that myself and many other post mention you get 20 gb + 20 gb or 30 gb + 10 gb, so 40 gb all up.

When you log on to your account the bonus data should show up there if it's available.

    • Is this still a thing or are people getting 10GB + 10GB as mentioned on the site?

      • I activated one of these $2.90 Sims 19 days ago and got 40gb and another $1 student sim and got 30gb.

  • New customer can be someone who's had a Kogan service in the past or not?

    • +2

The number was not in its system in the last 30 days.

      • +1

said invalid voucher when trying port number back to kogan around 20 day mark, just set that one up as new number, will try again after 31 days and see if that works 🙂

  • Do you need to cancel the plan at the end of the first month?
I got this for an overseas visitor and only need it for a month. I have removed the credit card details for auto recharge from the kogan portal. Just wondering if I need to call them to cancel at the end of the month.

    • +1

Don't have to cancel, just need to remove auto-recharge option as you have already done. Then cut in half and bin it.

  • +1

$20/ month after the first month. Quite steep.

  • How much data have people been getting when activating a SIM nowadays ? Few months ago people where getting anywhere from 20GB to 60GB.

    • +1

Activated on the 3rd Sept and got 20GB. Not a big deal with a dual sim phone.
Just top up data with free Boost sims posted on here.

  • Can you keep using these starter packs and just activating on a new number each time or they check your ID to see if you are an existing customer?

    • +1

Yes just keep activating sims. You can use same ID no problems. You might wanna use different debit cards tho. From memory it's best not to use the same debit card five times over a 90 day period or something like that.

  • Is this the best/cheapest data deal right now?

  • These are no longer available. Will they be coming back or are they gone forever ?
