Don't know if it makes any difference but these are made in 🇨🇳

    • +4

If it concerns anyone, just wait for a deal from Amazon UK - they're usually slightly cheaper than this seller and the filters are made in the UK.

      • Can you please link the UK made ones?

        • +2

Should be this one. The 15 pack was $103 back in April ($6.86 ea) and was low as $67 for the 12 pack ($5.58 ea) around the end of 2020.

It was mentioned in one of the previous deals for the UK made ones that the water output didn't taste as good as the water from the China made ones. Not sure if it was just those comments that influenced me, but I'd probably agree with it. So I don't have a problem with getting the Chinese made ones in this case.

Didnt find aznywhere says it made in China, but ill pass this one just in case it is

I've bought them before and Brita Australia had also confirmed that in the Q&A

what is wrong if it is made in cn

      • +5

Some people may not have faith in things from China, specially it is related to the water we drink everyday.

      • Anti-China sentiments

Yeh…or same reason people living in China import things like baby formula from overseas rather than buy chinese brand ones….

    • It does make a huge difference! I recently discovered that most water pipes, faucets and kitchen appliances were made in CN. It’s not safe living on earth anymore.

          My comment was sarcastic

  • Kmart branded ones work well for me, $14 for 3 i think.

Perform the same as regular maxtra (haven't tested limescale version) for reducing total dissolved solids. Of course, I do not know which solids it removes (my guess is calcium mainly), but my water also has less of a chlorine taste to it.

    • Kmart ones didn't fit in my Brita jug

Does anyone know how much are the 8 pack from Costco? And where are they made in?
    Thanks

    • +2

costco does not have the limescale one
they had the regular maxtra+ one
      https://www.costco.com.au/Kitchen-Laundry-Appliances/Kitchen…
      currently $77

      from the classic tefal experience…..
made in china always hidden and tucked away
made in anywhere but China it is clearly labelled front and centre where it is made

      • Are these Costco ones made in China or UK?

        • I am currently using those from costco.

costco one is 8 pack regular one, occasionally is discounted to $56 instore.

the bottom of the outer package lists two manufacturers, Brita Germany and Brita China.

on the individual sealed package, it states made in China.

          • @missyu: I found the same. Though recently noticed Costco now have their own brand of 'Maxtra' filter. It is made in Germany.

Limited-time deal: BRITA MAXTRA+ 10 Pack Pure Performance Filter Cartridges https://amzn.asia/d/8OGvyZX

  • cheers OP. I was down to my last couple of cartridges, this is good timing :)
I find these are better than the non-limescale Brita cartridges, I see much less residue left behind on my kettle etc when I use these compared to the normal ones (living in Perth, the water is crazy hard….)
