[PC] Indie Bundle for Abortion Funds - 792 DRM-Free Games/Projects - US$10.00 Minimum @ Itch.io

17827

itch.io is running a jumbo bundle inspired by recent US events. $10 minimum purchase price for 790+ items, with more to be added until the 7th of July.

100% of the proceeds from this bundle will go to the National Network for Abortion Fund's Collective Power Fund, which moves money directly to abortion funds across 20+ U.S. states, with a particular focus on the South and Midwest (where it is often most difficult to get access to abortions). NNAF’s partnerships with these abortion funds provide direct resources and funds to many of the people most impacted by Roe v. Wade, towards immediate action.

All games are DRM-free, and can be downloaded and installed from the itch.io website. No Steam keys or similar are provided.

I haven't yet perused the list for good items (or sought out posts from people that have done so), but feel free to share in the comments.

even going on the theoretical 'they were one in a million' - there would be an astounding number of 'criminals' or average people before there was anyone of renowned intelligence. Add in cultural values, potentially which sex they are, their socio-economic background and you may still end up with an Einsteinian level criminal mastermind due to them never having access to further themselves (possibly due to the large increase of average IQ population surrounding them on the bell curve).

        • There is absolutely no evidence to support that eugenics would reduce crime… and it's rather evil

Unlike things like freedom, human rights, market economics…. which are proven ways to reduce crime and get people out of the poverty cycle

          • +1

@hippyhippy: you hit it on the knocker there champ! HUMAN RIGHTS - including the right to decide whether or not they want to carry some cells to term when it is then an actual baby.

However there is a severe lack (and of interest) in providing social welfare to get people out of the povery cycle in the USA (mainly because then there goes the never ending pool of cheap labourers) and to provide better overall AND sex education, healthcare (which would include contraception) and public housing. No, instead there is a firm push from a minority to keep the population ignorant and teetering on the edge of poverty so they can be easily exploited. Then we have the gun lobbyists and the 750 billion dollar war machine all pushing for more government spending on weapons.

          • +1

            @hippyhippy:

There is absolutely no evidence to support that eugenics would reduce crime…

            Maybe…
but the choice of legalised abortion does

            • @shkippy: I can find other studies refuting that … crime is still significantly high in black and poor communities where abortion rates are very high.

              • +2

@hippyhippy: Sounds like the (US) government should have policy to fix poverty and provide sex education.

              • +1

@hippyhippy: So underpriviledged communities are under funded and suffer from higher crime levels.. wow who would have thought it?

              • +2

@hippyhippy: It's amazing what you can find evidence for when you have vested interests (just look at the tobacco industry). I've heard many Christians say that's exactly what they do: they already know the conclusion so they just look for evidence to support their belief of the existence of God or in this case: abortion does not reduce crime.

No vested interests here except maybe wanting to live in a safer society. But the key difference is conclusions aren't sought until evidence shows it to be so. But even then, conclusions can be changed as new evidence comes to light.

There is definitely more than one driver of crime and when you look at single outlier communities that don't fit the overall trend, does not disprove the hypothesis. It merely suggests that there are other factors at play, probably localised factors.

Overall, however, It's very hard to deny that abortion is highly significant with the trend of falling crime rates 15-20 years after each state made access to abortion and now the latest evidence with crime continually declining at different rates for high abortion states and low abortion states

But I know my argument is futile, as vested interests usually win.

  • +16

Ozbargain doesn't know that 92.5% of abortions are out of convenience.

    • +2

What's pretty much as bad is that the people aborting the babies don't even bother to negotiate to get a cent of the over $100K worth of fetus parts and fluids/organs that the abortion clinics then on-sell to big Pharma and human harvesting companies, from the fetus they killed.

    • -1

not only that … they dont even know the origins of it… its like they dont even know that democrats are the party of racism and slavery…

they like to use the marginal case for everything….

      • +5

its like they dont even know that democrats are the party of racism and slavery…

        What a tired old trope.

        • +8

Politics aside, some people are just shitty and evil.

The founder of Planned Parenthood (Margaret Sanger) was literally a eugenicist and registered Democrat who made a career out of restricting the number of black's in America by lobbying her state and federal political party for funds to create free abortion clinics in the heart of black suburbs across every single major city in the USA. She openly, publicly and on the record advocated for a federal “population bureau” that would as it's sole function be responsible for policing the birthrate of the Irish, Italian, black, European, Hispanic and Asian populations - literally anyone who wasn't born in the US to parents who were also born in the US would be under their thumb.

While also financially supporting communist agitators against US law and lobbying to have the Communist party and Democrat parties merge as one, she returned from one of her state-sponsored trips to Russia in 1934 to unveil her latest pet-project, an American equivalent of the Russian Communist "Negro Project", which was aimed at “specifically targeting and lowering the Negro birthrate”. She spent 5 years lobbying state and federal politicians for it, until it was successfully implemented in every Democrat controlled state in the US in 1939.

The woman was an absolute stain on humanity & the Democrat party happily funded her the entire way, while Republicans shut her down and shut her program's down at every opportunity. Democrats still literally hero-worship the woman today.

None of that is even remotely up for debate, either.

      • +5

Damn, that is some amazing whataboutism. Politicians and policies change over time, I wouldn't keep voting for a party due to a name, I base it on the current politicians and policies they. People who vote for a name regardless of the politicians they are voting for are absolute morons, as is anyone who proudly claims I'll only vote for x party for the rest of my life.

    • +1

It doesn't particularly matter why an abortion occurs. It's not your concern.

  • +14

I won't be putting my money into funding the murder of unborn babies, thanks though. If your conscience is dead that's your problem.

    • +3

There's no such thing as an "unborn baby". Before birth it's either a fetus or an embryo.

      • We all refer to a fetus as a baby. It doesn’t just magically transform when born.

Have you seen how a baby is killed? Google it. There is nothing more horrible

      • -1

I've never in my life heard an expecting mother refer to her unborn child as "the fetus" or "the embryo".

  • +14

    Just out of curiosity

are there any women negging this deal or just men?

  • +13

    https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS6sNar…

Should we also ban contraception? Or plan B?

These both prevent the existence of a future human. Plan B causes as much suffering to the fertilized egg as a 99% of abortions to do the fetal matter incapable of of consciousness or selfhood.

The only way to reject this notion is to argue metaphysics and impose your own personal spirituality - and suggest unconscious matter is capable of suffering like a human being is.

South Carolina is currently debating a bill making it prison-worthy to transport a pregnant minor interstate for the purpose of an abortion. There are already pregnant minors being denied abortions. Republicans want a nationwide ban - and Supreme Court Justices have already motioned they want to move onto gay marriage next (a ruling that passed by a single vote before Trump made 3 appointments). But yeah let's celebrate a reversal in civil rights progress because (profanity) women eh?

    • Wtf fetal matter? It’s a living baby. Where did you lose your conscience

      • +3

When do sperm and egg go from random cells to a human?

      • Wtf are you doing wasting time arguing with people on a bargain website when you could be volunteering at orphanages taking care of these lives you care so much about?

  • +3

Time to support another worthwhile cause, whilst adding even more itch.io games I'll never play. Hurrah!

  • +7

Knowing that we have people here who will happily force rape victims to give birth is sad

    • +4

I think there is severe generalization going on here…

      • +4

look at the people negging the deal. read their comments

      • +1

Nope, there are some people that have given that view.

    • +1

      Context matters.

If a rape victim started asking for an abortion at 40 weeks then surely even you would prefer to 'force her' to give birth?

      • +2

        Context matters.

How many comments were in regards to very late-term abortions?

      • +1

It would be none of my business because I have a life and problems of my own?

  • +3

Get dat fetus, kill dat fetus

  • +10

Seriously is this a bargain? sickening to see this woke nonsense here

    • +8

The Supreme Court was being extra woke in 1973 when they passed Roe v Wade. It passed with seven woke justices against 2 based redpilled testosterone justices.

      • move to america…..

        • +7

commenting on a fundraiser for US medical services, say "move to America" if anyone responds. classic

    • So you never moaned about a perceived injustice? That is what woke means.

  • +17

This is an incredibly sensitive subject but I find the hypocrisy unbearable in the U.S.

White folk with adequate money just go interstate and turn a blind eye when their daughter does the local football team.

You get people like Trump who supported his daughters's abortion and turned a blind eye. Yet both rave about pro life.

Do you reckon if Stormy Daniels called up Trump and told him he got her preggo he would be like
"coolio…we will call him little Donnie Daniels" or would he turn a blind eye and ship her off somewhere?

The only people this law affects is poor predominantly black people

    • +5

It's kind of like the whole media circus on trans in sport. No one really cares and the community has already dealt with the issue but there are certain factions in society that make sure we keep having circular logic debates as to be distracted on the real issues in society. Or in other words it's allow them to move bigotry into mainstream acceptance.

      • +6

        Wow just wow.

        No one really cares?

Tell it to the girls that trained their whole lives just to be beaten by someone who couldn’t make it into the top 100 of their own sex.

      • +4

Yeah! Screw genuine competition! Reject bigotry by uncomfortably ignoring the giant shredded elephant in the room!

    • +2

do you realise that Trump is very pro choice and does not agree with the result?

actually this does not really affect predominately poor black people is shitty high crime rate neighbourhoods because these shitty areas are in predominately in democrat run cities and states which this law does not even affect them, abortion is still legal in these cities and they dont even have limits on the term either so im not even sure why they are upset.

      • +4

do you realise that Trump is very pro choice and does not agree with the result?

He was in 1999 when he was (profanity) every prostitute and groping every (profanity) he could find. He has changed his view now he can't get it up and wants to get the christian conservative vote.

“Let's compare where the presidential candidates stand on the issue.Mr Trump's key message: We are making it harder to get an abortion now, want to overturn federal protections and would support a near-total ban"

Your second point was interesting. I don't totally agree that it is the democratic states but it is certainly different to what I thought. Texas actually has the least racial division in socio economic status, however, the poor States where abortion and/or unwanted pregnancies was quite surprising.

        https://www.guttmacher.org/report/pregnancy-desires-and-preg…

Yeah it comes down to socio economics as you said. Not necessarily just poor Blacks

        • The majority of pp centres is in poor areas… that's where they get the most work… also just happens to be in predominantly black areas… more black people are killed from abortion than other causes … quite sad really.

    • How does it affect black people more?

      • check out abortion rates between black and white people

check out abortion rates between socio economic demographics

  • +13

    This "deal" should be Aborted!

  • +8

Funny how the value of life suddenly vanishes after a kid is born and parents are considered bums for not fending for themselves. Want to instantly trigger an anti abortion nutter and watch them foam at the mouth? Suggest any sort of arbitrary minuscule raise in taxes to go hand in hand with these abortion laws to ensure parents forced to have a kid have access to basic support and supplies.

    • +5

Various "right wing" media, packages up a bunch of views into an early consumable package for the weak minded. Proper conservative movements are pretty much dead and replaced with culture wars and extremists.

Fortunately, Australia is largely rejecting that so far.

  • +17

Shit games, shit initiative. No deal.

  • +16

now you can legally fund murder.

    • +8

      Another person who failed biology.

  • +7

The United States have got their priorities. A teenager shoots kids and there is not one action. Not a change to ban those guns. What do they do instead? Change a 50 year ruling on abortion. And the US goes around the world to act as little policemen. They should sweep at their own doors and address their issues

    • +1

Their maternal and neonatal health outcomes are also among the worst in the OECD.

      • +1

Yep. Their health system is woeful.

  • +10

some many people trying to push THEIR beliefs on other people…..

If YOU don't want an abortion don't get one
If YOU don't want to have sex with someone from the same gender DONT
If YOU don't want to be in a same sex marriage DONT.

You can believe what ever you like, BUT why the frkk should YOU tell ME WTF to do…… Go live your life and stop telling me what you think i should do. I DON'T CARE…I DON'T CARE..

    • If only this was the way it actually worked. Instead whoever is winning at the time strips the other side of their rights, finances and opportunities, while abusing and shoring up their power at any expense.

    • +3

We aren't telling you what to do. We are stating what we believe to be right in an open and supposedly free society.

      • +3

"We aren't telling you what to do."
        Except when laws do.

        • Yes because taking a life is murder.

          • +10

@dontbeatightarse: "Yes because taking a life is murder."
All the states in the USA that have banned abortion have the death penality.

Is cutting off cancer cells from your skin is murder? Your body cells are alive, cancer cells too, same a fertilized egg. Thing is, a few cells isn't a human. You could do a bit of research on biology, but naa, keep on ranting with the power of ignorance!

          • @dontbeatightarse: unless it is government sanctioned

  • +8

games so bad they don't even feature on steam/humble plus irony is every kid aborted will never play a game ever! #facts.

    • +5

Every kid your mum didn't have will never play a game. 300+ eggs, your dad had millions of sperm, lots of potential kids not had. Why didn't your folks get pregnant every time it was possible?

    • You may have missed the earlier commend I posted where I took a look through the bundle's listed games - there's actually over 100 of these games that have Steam listings.

  • Non-DADs comments should not be valid. What do they know?

    • +5

      Hi, third commenter here.

      V pro choice.
      Also a father.

    • +4

Why don't we take that one step further and say only women or mums should comment?

  • +6

abortion is murder. at third trimester the abortionist literally rips of the baby's limbs. i'd post the informal youtube video but it is graphic. i am quite offended at this company.

  • +3

Amazing turnout at the protests this weekend in our capital cities.

Hopefully will help pressure the American government to change the decision and stop ours from following Trump's lead.

    • +3

Americans as a whole are rarely aware of what happens in Australia and even less likely to care about our opinion

      • +1

They didn't used to be, but are now more aware because of new media like Twitter and Reddit (which are all spreading the pro choice message).

      • +2

oh I dunno.. seems to be a fair few in this posted bargain.

    • +2

Missed the /s. Our protests will help pressure the American government?

I think that custard's over egged.

      • +2

Even if the message doesnt reach their govnerment, it will reach their women.

It will also maybe encourage our government to create refugee spots in Australia for American women who are otherwise forced to be pregnant in the coming republic of Gilead.

  • +5

Gotta love all the men telling women what to do with their bodies.

    • +4

How about murdering poor defenceless cancerous skin cells? That is life, that clump of cells has a life, but oh no, you wanted to live so you had them cut off. Clumps of cells aren't babies.

  • +6

Much like Cartman’s mum, I’m all for abortion up until the 40th trimester.

  • +2

don't like or support it? Turn the other cheek and move on.

I don't support any organised religion at all because I personally think they are evil for preying (pun intended) on the lost and simple minded and are and always have been tax dodgers and havens for paedophiles.

    • +3

      Where's the pun?

      • +2

Just realised where the pun is prey, pray. I was hoping someone will reply my question, instead received a neg. The person who neg must have thought I was being sarcastic in asking that question. I actually don't know the answer until I read gizmomelb comment again and found the pun. Hope that help someone else in finding the pun.

  • +5

Games in this bundle are mostly shovelware crap

    • +1

I was hoping to read commentary on what games are good, the whole forum became a debate/discussion on non games issues…..

      • You may have missed the earlier commend I posted where I took a look through the bundle's listed games - there's definitely a few good ones included in the bundle, given their Steam ratings/popularity

  • +3

    What a sht show!

  • +3

    Ah-ah-abortion

    • Gesundheit

  • +10

    Had some good laughs from the comments in here. My view is this isnt a deal;

Some of the comments here are polarising, and I also find this woke companies marketing strategy of jumping on the coat tails of bigger issues, while smart, annoying.

On the topic being discussed here however 10 years ago this month my wife who was 21 week's pregnant. Our little one had a rare genetic condition that was incompatible with life (bilateral renal agenesis). We had to make a decision, and I'm glad we had choices available.

The games suck too. Donate direct to whatever side of the equation you are on if you feel the need.
