      Jetstar flies to Bali from Darwin all the time. Yet again there are not holiday packages available to Bali from Darwin. The flight from here is 2.5hrs! Surely we could get a deal for once!!

  There’s a plane load of people currently at Tullamarine that were due to fly to Vietnam Monday morning. They keep getting a bus from the hotel to the airport at 4am to sit around all day and then back to the hotel at night.

    Colleague was going from Sydney to Vietnam on JetStar and was delayed 24 hours for an important meeting and was also stuck at the airport for many hours (10+ he said before they asked him to come back tomorrow)

  How on earth to find the kids fly free flights??? I think some good deals and keen to get the family to Phuket next year. Have been searching dates for an hour now, and prices always come back for 3 people. Have checked in looking at dates within the range required.

      I searched for a Gold Coast one, came up first go. I've searched 100 dates but Phuket… Nothing. Surely they can't continue advertising it if there is nothing available? Well.. Surely they can. Just annoying. Why can't the search function show available dates and then I can choose them. Cheap ass airline is why I guess.

You’re buried in downvotes, but even with kids, I agree with your sentiment. 😀 I had an idea years ago, and I’m convinced this would be commercially viable, for Boeing or Airbus to build in a padded room at the back of the plane for kids to go mental and exhaust their energy. With sound proof glass between it and the rest of the cabin. Then the operators (Virgin, Qantas, etc) could employ early childhood educators and maybe some clowns on each flight, with a bunch of toys and stuff, to look after them. Charge a premium for the service, enough to cover costs, but you’d have endless parents wanting on that plane to chill with glasses of wine and silence to enjoy their movies while travelling. Maybe not so much that but at least zonked out sleeping kids next door.

  This is either a bit scammy, or a bit incompetent, not sure which.

  I've found a few options I like, with available flights.

  The flights tell me that kids fly free. The accommodation tells me that kids stay free. However, when I go to book, it wants to book for 3 people, not 2.

  Very annoying.

  My melb—>bris flight was cancelled last night 3 hours before departure. Next cheapest flight is for tomorrow 3 times the price. Reason for cancellation—》"operational requirements".
