How is that compared to Macpac Halo Down Jackets?

    • This one is government spec

      • Good one!

    • +2

Macpac is warmer with down. Just got the north face one last week $136@Generalpant. Looks nice but not a down jacket, very thin

    • One has parts of dead animals in it the other doesn't :)

  • how does this compare to the 2 for $199 Kathmandu down jackets?

    • -2

No comparison. Thermoball is far superior

  • Thermoball Eco Packable Jacket

Sounds like something James Bond would wear.

  • "Portable jacket" -at long last.

Thanks OP, been wanting to get one for a while now, finally ordered one. There’s a 20% off offer in my Amazon account too and so I ended up paying $129.40. Great value imo.

    • Where is the 20% off?

      • Not sure if it’s targeted and it looks like you can only use the 20% once. I applied it just before check out and I can’t seem to be able to find the exact code anymore. It’s something about 20% clothing and stuff.

  • Just note that this North Face has the logo stamped on, not sewn on. After a few washes the logo might come off the jacket.

    • Who needs to wash jackets?

      • I swear profusely so maybe it's me.

          Intervention?

    • Maybe they designed this to happen thanks to Dan Andrew’s’ brand awareness in Victoria.
