This tv will last you about a year max

    • balloney! last… well until QOLED 100" for under $1000, sure!

    • +1

I have used Big W EKO which is the same TV and it has lasted for 19 months without any issues.

  • 75" 4K Ultra HD HDR DVBT Android TV
    Chromecast & Google Play Store
    Netflix / Stan/YouTube/Prime Video
3000: 1 contrast ratio / 1.07 Billion colour HDR (High Dynamic Range)
Delivering a more realistic image with finer detailed levels of contrast and superior colour accuracy.
With 1.07 billion colours, you get 1,024 shades of each primary colours making

Is this QLED, quantum dot TV (previous versions were but were advertised as such)

    • +1

Big W has the 75" advertised as QLED coming from the same factory (looks identical)

      Was on sale for $899
      https://www.bigw.com.au/product/eko-75-ultra-hd-qled-100hz-a…

      • +1

Just be careful if you have couches wide either side. The QLED angle viewing isn't great. Also quite glossy and reflective.
The normal Ecko or their JVC TV doesn't have this issue. Both the JVC and Ecko are the same TV (one remote worked on both, with identical menus).
To be honest, once the back light was tuned properly, contrast upped from default, the non QLED looked better than the QLED (and $100 cheaper and used less power).

        • Thank you for the valuable trip

  • Nice

  • Hrm, tempted to get one to mount outside under the alfresco. At least if it gets pinched you're not going to lose sleep.

  • Any suggestions of a good TV stand to put it on? I think mine fits the TV legs' width although the screen protrudes slightly outwards from the stand. Also need to take into consideration the weight of TV which is heavy…

    • +1

No suggestion for a tv stand, but wall mounting is quite popular, and this one looks thin enough to be wall munted.

      • How much does it cost to have it wall mounted?

        • Just use a pack of 3m hooks and command strips

    • +1

Not sure if this is what you're looking for https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/125348399401

I have a very small TV cabinet, hence I think this TV stand would work.

  • Anyone know what version of Android is running on tv? If android 10 at least it will last awhile before newer apps and various app updates aren't possible

    • -1

      Yep Android TV 10.0.

      • How do you know it has Android 10?

My understanding is it has Android 9

  • Does anyone know the peak or average brightness? Seems hard to find.

  • $8.48 per inch of TV.

    Pretty good.

    • Could you please work out the $ per pixel cos that's what matters most ..

  • I bought it just last weekend for 795, anyone know if jb hifi have price drop guaranty?

    • They don't have one, but might refund the difference on a case by case basis at the manager's discretion so you could try.

Are you happy with your TV? Could you share your review on this TV like response time, time to powering on, switching channel, colour, brightness, viewing angle, Android TV OS, etc? Thanks

      • im satisfied with the tv, got my refund this morning. i find it ok for a 635 tv. Picture quality and sound not so great but still good.

    • Would also like to know your thoughts on the TV as well .

    • They have 14 days price guarantee. Last time, I did contact and got refund difference. However, it took some exchange emails. Good luck.

    • Please, can you provide feedback on the picture and picture motion quality.

    • Please, can you provide feedback on the picture and picture motion quality.

      • Weird he didnt share feedbacks

      • im satisfied with the tv, got my refund this morning. i find it ok for a 635 tv. Picture quality and sound not so great compare to my 4k 27inch computer monitor, seems the colour are out of authenticity

  • Just received the TV. 2 men delivered. I can confirm Android 9 written on the box. But does not matter, I 'll use Google TV dongle anyway.

    • Was Sunday delivery extra?

    • Please, can you provide feedback on the picture and picture motion quality.

    Buyers Beware!
Ayonz, the distributoy of Eko, Blaupunkt & Seiki brands may have lost contracts with JB, Targret, Bing Lee, Harvey Norman etc for the Blaupunkt range.

The price is fantastic, however, Ozbairgainers we rely on your feedback if you have purchased this TV, to help us make and informed decision to purchase. I am particularly interested in the picture quality, if there are motion flow issues and the comparisons of this TV picture to say TCL, LG etc.

    • -1

Interesting I thought they were owned by Bosch

    • +2

      motion flow issues

It’s a sub $650 75 inch that was literally less than 2 weeks ago marked at rrp 1295…. Just curious what standard we need to be applying. (Genuine question as I believe I have low standards for televisions)

Also I wonder if it’s worth holding out for another week.

So just went and had a look at the TV in the store . The first store salesman was a total DH. He first said they don't have one on display.
He asked why I was going for that particular TV. I said because it is in your Catalog and it's on sale. So are you not recommending it ? He said No . I said not even for that price . He again said No . I said why , He again didn't answer ..I said what do you recommend then . He said would you consider going for a 65". I said no I came here for a 75" and walked out.
Then went to another JB store a lovely lady this time showed me the TV on display..She was much more helpful. She said 1year mfg wty and 1 year JB warranty. So 2 years in total. Had a quick play in the short time that I had .. It certainly is not a $3K Sony or a Samsung but for the price it is certainly a bargain. Picture quality was very acceptable at this price range. Snapped one up .. delivery will be tomorrow. As for the DH salesman at the store .. Obviously commission on this TV was not enough for him to recommend it. Lost an easy sale ..

    • +2

Prob no commission to be had at all - the people coming in for this is definitely not the ones who will be fooled by full price extended warranty, $500 surge protectors and $200 monster hdmi cables

Worth reporting this kind of behaviour to store manager . A customer is a customer - especially when the buyer has intention to buy, knows what they want and ready to just get in and out. Some of these jokers would rather spend an hour trying to butter up some punter interested in a top end sony (but then get NOTHING when they find a better price online anyway) . Positive experience today may lead to profitable sales in future or just good word of mouth

      • +1

But someone can argue that a salesmen need to be honest, if the tv is bad then dont recommend it

        • But someone can argue that a salesmen need to be honest, if the tv is bad then dont recommend it

I’m all for saying it’s a below average tv **** if compared to say, a $4000 Sony (you would definitely bloody hope so right?). But at least say why? The members feedback above says the guy can’t even say why and just has a **** attitude in general.

I’m all for cross/up sell if there’s benefit to it and done honestly. I’ve done a LONG Time in retail before where I am now and you should see the ***** some of these sales people will say to close a deal. Then it’s up to the floor manager/manager to clean up the mess when **** hits the fan

  • Received mine now and set it up pretty decent quality for someone isn't fussy

    • My thoughts exactly for what I saw in store

  • Just checked my local - none on display and no confirmation if it was going to be displayed. Dude tried to cross sell me to a hisense. Good try bud haha

  • I notice this deal is listed as expiring on 15th July but the email I got from JBHifi says that the 20% off deal is only for this weekend & finishes tonight.

    • Updated my brother thanks you are right - blame the 6 cans of Brookvale union I had

      The FOMO is real!!!

Unfortunately I am still leaning towards the Blitzwolf vp15 even if the eBay seller seems dodgy as hell. $250 ish and I have a dark room with a huge white wall.

    • Well crap. On to waiting for the next deal I guess…

  • +1

Got mine today, I already have the older 2019 version but this one seems alot worse in terms of backlighting, just want to check does anyone else have ghosting in the corners ?

    Example of mine:

    Thanks

Is JB-HI guilty of false advertising stating its a 2022 model?

Since its Android 9, it looks like Ayonz is trying to clear old inventory.

    I only found BP750USG9200 (75” 4K Ultra HD Android TV )
    https://blaupunkt.com/caus/product/75-4k-ultra-hd-android-tv…
AGL 1154 and above are Android 10
AGL 0896 and below are Android 9

  • Picked this up for the kids area, for the price it's pretty good assuming it lasts (paid for extra JB coverage):

YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime all work and the menu interface wasn't as horribly slow as some reviews indicated. The in-built interface, for what it's worth, is at least as good and probably better than a ~5 year old much more expensive Sony we have.

Works fine with Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart looked great.

Picture quality is fine in this price range, you will notice the 60 Hz in some scenes but for the price it's a great deal.

    • kids area

Hey dad it’s me, your kids

      • +2

At my time kids doesnt have iphone, switch, drone, or 75" tv! Whats is wrong with this world

  • Ooof back to 1295 wtffff jb hahahah

  • Damn i logged on last night at 1030pm Perth time for the deal to be expired. Forgot they work on EST, I blame Kyrios!

    • Australia is EST the rest are just accessories

  • Anyone who picked it up. What version of Android is it?

    • Box says Android 9, no idea if any OTA updates though.

    • +1

it is Android 9 Software's last update is from December 2021 comparing to my TCL C8 it is much better and quicker although free storage is only 4.5gb without installing any applications from my side

      • I bought an EKO 65" QLED Android TV is 2020 and it had Android 9. How come a 2022 model has Android 9. Must be clearing old stock stuck in China due to supply chain issues.

Are you happy with the picture quality?

My EKO QLED purchased in 2020 is very decent and I am very happy with it for the price.

        • Yep I am quiet happy for the price it is definitely worth it, as mentioned earlier if you are fussy this TV isn't for you there is shadowing on corners but you can only see them if you are looking for them in certain SD content or apps I have played 4k HDR videos they got decent quality even in deep blacks

          • @abal897: Shadowing on corners should not happen. Why not complain to JB-Hi as they might replace it within 07 days

            • @utsc: because i really don't mind it and seen it on other tvs also, I am satisfied no issues so far and movies run great

            • @utsc: Backlight bleed is pretty bad on the corners and edges on this TV. Ordered one for my sister. But yeah not too noticeable with content playing.

Does anyone have any colour profile settings which make the TV look good that they wish to share?

  • +4

A little FYI for everyone who has this TV . 4K (2160P) is not preset needs to be selected.. To do this , you need to go into settings and enable it via the HDMI by first selecting the Input eg. HDMI1 , Once Selected the Input then click settings , Goto Device settings scroll down to Input and click Ok. Again scroll down and change HDMI v1.4 to 'HDMI EDID Version EDID 2.0'. You will then be able to view in 2160P.

Also as another user suggested if anyone has any colour settings they are able to share that would be appreciated.

    • How about 4K in installed Apps such as Netflix, Prime or Disney that do not use HDMI?

Are you have with the TV

      • Are you have ?

        • I have ordered but delivery next Saturday.

  • Any Custom firmware to upgrade to Android 11

    • lol if you find one let us all know!

  • Anyone who has purchased this, do the Freeview buttons work on your remote? I reset the TV, Turned HbbTV on and off.
Did anyone else's screen come covered with scratches? - only visible when the screen is off. I was lucky that JB swapped over my first one, but it was in the terrible condition the scratches weren't even abrasive, they seemed to be a manufacturing defect.

Fantastic price, but truly a piece of Junk TV, everything about it is cheap from the frame+screen movement to the remote, and the horrible sound output. I would have been fuming if it was a $1,000 purchase. At $636 if it last me 2 years I will be happy. It's sitting in the back room with some mini consoles hooked up.

Only issue I had was backlight bleeding on the corners on the first day was horrific and the Optical cable I was using for the amplifier would not stay in place. Cable kept falling out of the socket. Contacted JB .. they offered to replace it. I waited about a week and the Light bleed is now hardly noticeable and I am using the HDMI ARC option for sound so no use for the optical port anyway .
Picture quality does not blow me away but is quite acceptable after tweaking settings
No dead or bright pixels ..
      Android TV works very well
HDMI ARC and CEC is great .. Using a external sound system so not too fussed about sound quality. Can turn everything on and off from original remote power button and control amp volume ..

I didn't go through with the replacement as No guarantee that the new one would be any better so decided to stick with my original one . You can't buy this and expect $3000 panel. Serves my purpose well.. After a bit of tweaking with settings and turning off all the processing crap I feel the picture has also vastly improved.
In saying that the only other option at this price range would be the ALDI Bauhn which is $999.
Possibly similar quality and using a inferior WebOS (imo)..
Overall I am quite happy with the purchase and looking forward to buying a 100" in 2 years for the same price. 😂

  • Any more reviews positive or negative?

Is the quality similar to the EKO TV sold in Big W?
