  • this would work as a beach cart?

    • Maybe not ideal looking at the tyre design

    • +1

      The problems would be:

      THE WEIGHT
on the sand and removing it from your vehicle. (not listed in it assembly manual but I assume its pretty bloody heavy)
Most beach carts are made from aluminium, plastic and polyester, not steel. Hence the load rating of 180kg vs ~80kg of most beach carts

      It DOES NOT FOLD UP
but you can remove the sides…

All the parts will need a spray with oil to prevent rust and the paint work I would coat in Gal Spray or Rust-Oleum

Cant see it being very convenient as a beach cart for the folding, rust and weight.

A slab weighs about ~12kg. fridge and battery ~35kg

The pneumatic wheels would be fine. You can pressurise them down super low, much better from both the carpark to the sand. Some beach carts have terrible thin wheels… The wider the better. Plastic is fine. If they are pneumatic you will pay a lot more

  • I need something similar like this that'll collapse into the boot of a sedan for my wedding gear. Anyone got any suggestions? I bought one from ebay and whilst its doing a decent job, it's very poorly built and starting to fall apart.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

      • Thanks! I'll have to check it out in person as it looks similar to what I have now.

    • How much gear we talking? The Kmart one has been great for me - easily collapses but prob a bit of an ask to fit it in a sedan like a Mazda 3

      • 2-3 bags and a few tripod and light stand bags. Currently one fits into my cerato without an issue so should be similar to the kmart one. Will check it out :)

        Thanks

i could never do ft dedicated wedding 'tog - too much effort/ gear to lug around.

    • Costco has a fold up one for $80 from memory - I have it and it's pretty good. Light but solid build.

Edit: found it but looks like they've put up the price:
