Not necessarily. The manufacturer realises that their obscure/unknown Chinglish brand is not going to build any reputation in the short term or let alone compete with the big boys so they keep their products unbranded. I'd be more concerned about warranty headaches having to send defects back to them and the shipping costs involved :O
So you have tried these Chinese unbranded/generic Android phones before? I'm just curious really to see how they compare with 'reputable brands' and other phone manufacturers.
i've tried 5 chinese unbranded phones. they were all crappy quality. awkward OS. poor battery life. worse than useless camera. etc

I have the Huawei and it's a good phone. Your assumptions may be right. The only allusion to Android I could observe was the little green robot on the packaging, but it could be an illusion!

It's a toy … DX treme have tons of these and there's feedback on there for anyone thats interested.
Might be fun for something to fiddle with, but if you expect this to perform to any usuable standard you are taking a gamble. If you are aware of that then go for it.Amongst that chinese garbage there are some surprise packages like the uhf radio i found recently…. turns out to be a top set and has a big following even though it is less than a quarter the price of so called reputable sets.

get the samsung Y duos instead.. it's much better.
This does not appear to be an Android phone. This is a Java MIDP based phone which is anything but a smartphone.
There is no mention of Android anywhere on the description.
If you want a cheap dual sim Android gingerbread phone go buy one of those Alcatel 918D's.
